News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

On the whole I prefer WDW to Disneyland, but Disneyland itself is slightly better than Magic Kingdom simply because it has more attractions. But there are definitely things Magic Kingdom does better than Disneyland. MK for instance has the superior castle. I was quite disappointed when I went...

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

He kept landing on people's shoulders, which many guests and cast members found to be an invasion of personal space. When HR confronted Mr. Bluebird about the alleged behavior, he confessed "it's the truth." Not shocked to see him eliminated from the park.

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

I want the train to remain, I just would much, much rather prefer Villains land if I had to choose between the two. Ideally, the solution would be to reroute the train to go around villains land.

News Villains Land Announced for Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

The E-ticket, which will have Rise of the Resistance levels of immersion, predominantly revolves around Edgar from the Aristocats. The other villains will be featured on a spinner. :)

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

I think Disney just wants Frontierland to remain more relevant. Some may view the initial iteration as a monument to a time in which Native Americans were being displaced and killed by colonizers. The new version isn't a tribute to a specific time but more of a , "anything west of the east...

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Tom Sawyer is pretty much an IP....one that happened to slide into public domain by the time Disney got around to making it a theme park attraction. It just doesn't feel like one because it's a very old IP and is therefore seen as more of a classic and more "respectable." I imagine once Cars...

Rivers of America...once and done or every visit?

Liberty Belle was a one and done for my family, but I still liked the aesthetics of the River and the general view when I walked by in subsequent trips to Magic Kingdom.

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

I think they know 2025 is a lost cause anyway due to Epic Universe, so it makes sense to advance the construction while the tourists go elsewhere.

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Yeah they changed the style of the music from Disneyland to Magic Kingdom to better reflect the Frontierland theme. Also, while the live action portions of SOTS are definitely set in Georgia, I always imagined the animated segments taking place in a fictional land where critters talk.

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

My thoughts exactly. Splash Mountain was my favorite ride at Disney World, but I totally understand why it's inappropriate to have a ride based on Song of the South operating in 2024. I think both Tom Sawyer Island and Rivers of America are very well-themed, and I get why people are sad to see...

Let's be honest...is Carousel of Progress going to last the next five years?

I think an update is more likely than an outright closure, but I also don't think the ride is untouchable. I would be sad to see it go, but I could also understand replacing it if it dwindles in popularity.

Do you think Disney will ever make a really impressive playground again?

If there was ever a massive Pandora expansion, a Pandora-themed playground could work.

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

The Carousel feels VERY DAK, but not very "Tropical Americas." I think it would be more fitting in the center of the park or near the entrance, not as one of the themed lands.

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

The problem I have with the IP on the carousel is that some of the animals (Timon from the Lion King, Eyore from Winnie the Pooh) have nothing to do with Tropical Americas.

    Swiss Family Treehouse Delete

I feel the same about Swiss Family Treehouse as I do about Tom Sawyer Island. It's a very well themed walkthrough attraction and I have fondness for the IP it is based on (watched Swiss Family Robinson all the time at my grandmother's). HOWEVER I also recognize that Swiss Family Robinson is...

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Maybe they could repaint the rocks in Big Thunder Mountain to blend in more with the new, forest-like version of Frontierland. Or maybe they can retheme Big Thunder Mountain to Bald Mountain and lump it in with the villains land!

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

The lack of tension on the lift hill is the biggest flaw of the ride. It makes what should be the most exciting part the most boring.

News Villains Land Announced for Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

I hope they go beyond the berm. I think they can incorporate the train in a way that doesn't feel out of place in the land.

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

I think the faster pace of the Disneyland version will work better for a story as simplistic as the one in Tiana's Bayou Adventure.
