Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

When I say the queue, I am referring to the outdoor portion here. It still is inexcusable, but it would be much, much worse if the offenses were within the Mansion itself. Now, the cool white flames on the candles in the staircase scene that no longer flicker? That looks atrocious. I should have...

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

In some cases, like with the ToT lobby, it not only looks bad but also is just jarring to the eye. Those candelabras on either side of the fireplace are much too bright and just a hair too cool for the rest of the room (probably around 4000K). In the case of the MK, in my opinion it is...

    Disney Springs construction begins

The process for entering the World of Coca-Cola is just wonderful. Waiting in the lounge, moving to the hall with marketing materials and memorabilia through the ages, then viewing the quirky films and walking through the screen into the actual museum. I always love going by there.

New nighttime show 'Rivers of Light' confirmed to be coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

As I keep saying, it's not the view from the Theatre side, it's the view from the other side of the lake. The Serka Zong side. My "beef" is that they are very brightly colored, and unlike everything else on the Theatre/Dinoland shore, they do not blend in. Previously, when you looked across, you...

New nighttime show 'Rivers of Light' confirmed to be coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

I completely trust that the Serka Zong side will look wonderful. I just don't like that the views from Serka Zong toward that treeline are now dominated by these blue poles. I'm just hoping it ends up fixed.

New nighttime show 'Rivers of Light' confirmed to be coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

I don't mean rough as in aged, I mean rough as in perfectly smooth seafoam blue/green paint sticking out like a Brazilian tour guide in a neon football jersey.

New nighttime show 'Rivers of Light' confirmed to be coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

I thought seafoam more than copper, but yes, they absolutely could be aged to look appropriate. I can understand the rationale, as the area with Theatre In The Wild is more of a generic transition path, but they really do look terrible from the village across the lake.

New nighttime show 'Rivers of Light' confirmed to be coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

They aren't very muted in color in person. Nowhere near go-away green, which would have been nice. They are quite bright, and I couldn't take my eyes off of them looking across the lake. They are rough, and I really hope they get some sense and re-paint them.

Planet Hollywood unveils redesign for Disney Springs

That may have been a bit mean, considering. She's been here for a long while, and I honestly do not think she is part of that group...

Letter about AKL refurbishment starting 5 January 2016

Get used to it. He never fails to deliver material like this. Also, he has "experience" in nearly every field (including my own), so anything you or I say will be refuted.

New nighttime show 'Rivers of Light' confirmed to be coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

Tech. Theatre major here focusing in lighting and sound design, with some computer science and electrical engineering thrown in for good measure.

New nighttime show 'Rivers of Light' confirmed to be coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

Still holds true for sure. Almost not noticeable if you aren't looking for it.

Thirsty River Bar and Trek Snacks opening Dec 12 at Animal Kingdom

It definitely is aged a bit, just look at it again. Plus, not every business in Anandapur is old and failing. This could be a new enterprise, set up to take advantage of business from the nearby Himalayan Escapes tours of the Forbidden Mountain. Remember, Anandapur and Harambe are both active...

Any update on the TTC parking lot expansion?

...or the MK and Resort's needs have simply outgrown the TTC in its current capacity and configuration, necessitating this expansion and the other major infrastructure changes to come to the area.

Major 2015 Pirates of the Caribbean Refurbishment Watch/Rumor.

The sign outside of Pirates is fairly new. I noticed its addition, because on one visit we got wet and overheard complaints. A few months later we visit, and there are signs to cover their legal bases.

    Disney Springs construction begins

The intent of this project is to fix these issues, spread people out. With the huge scale of the expansion, and new foot traffic patterns being developed, I don't think having a touring plan for Disney Springs will be necessary. But hey, @lentesta may think otherwise...;)

Major 2015 Pirates of the Caribbean Refurbishment Watch/Rumor.

It is my understanding that this effect has been switched off because of its technical issues coupled with not being very convincing. I like it that way, keep everything before the drop dead.
