    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

Right, but now it's at grade on high ground. I guess you could say the utilidors are below current ground, but they're above the average elevation and the ground slopes away from them. I'd guess they're not at a super high risk of flooding unless their roof leaks

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

KUA in Kissimmee has been undergrounding, and weathered the storm better than most of their competition. They have 90,000 customers and have less than 2,500 outages at the moment. I'd say it's worth it and there are likely grants available as well. Editing to add - they had 14,000 outages this...

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

Interesting OUC (slogan: "the reliable one") faired so poorly in outages compared to others. In Osceola, they lost power in 45% of accounts (!!!) but KUA only lost in 15%. In orange, they have nearly twice the outages of Duke with only half the customers. Not sure if they're behind on...

6-9 feet in Tampa Bay would still be catastrophic, even if greatly reduced from initial expectations.

Still going NE. 5pm advisory should be interesting. Just had a strong wave of rain come through here with some fast moving clouds.

Loving that hurricane is decreasing as we get closer to landfall. Keep steady my dude - no wobbling north allowed
