    A Spirited Valentine ...

I'll continue the discussion of VB's placement, since I've now climbed the non-Volcano towers. Freeway views/noise are awful from the raft complex nearest the ramps. The views from the towers on the other ride aren't very good either. I'm quite surprised that they chose to send much of the...

    Volcano Bay

I did a bit of work at Volcano Bay yesterday, but didn't get to go up into the Volcano like I thought I might (they're still not done with the staircases going up, so no dice for me till those are done). Since there are plenty of reports/people inside the park training now, I guess I'm not...

    A Spirited Valentine ...

None of Florida's major theme/water parks (including Busch and Legoland) are visible from a freeway other than signage and maybe a tall coaster tower. Most are among the top visited parks on earth within their respective categories. They're not local FEC's that need a freeway lawn ornament to...

    A Spirited Valentine ...

Maybe, but I still don't think that had anything to do with the placement (but it is in fact one of the few positives of that location). The overwhelming majority of people either look things up, use a travel agent/company or simply already know about it.

Avatar's first sequel delayed until late 2017

I'm sure they'll release at least a few months apart. March release, May release, July release, November release, Christmas release. Besides, you're assuming it'll actually come out in 2020 and that's just putting too much faith in Cameron's ability to release something 3 years away on time...

    A Spirited Valentine ...

As far as Volcano Bay is concerned- the placement is terrible but they had few options. Anyone whos saying 'billboard'- I'm wondering why none of Florida's other 10+ parks are by the freeway- tourists and locals don't just see a waterpark on the side of the highway and decide to go. This isn't...

    A Spirited Valentine ...

The concept art looks amazing! As much as I dislike Gary's boasting- he certainly can and does back up the bravado with spectacular results. Honestly, as an independent theme park guy I consider him at the top of the heap. But I have a feeling that he's over promising with the cirque park. It...

Rumor of Springs Light Show and 4th Parking Garage

Well... a Disney shirt order that is large in quantity- and most of it's for the wife :D

That tube won't be covered except by a bit more water, but it's not going to be white either. Now why they chose to place a staircase up the other side of an active volcano makes no sense, nor does the entire hollow thing. Not convincing at all- quite surprising really.

    Splash Mountain fall refurbishment 2017

Tough to be a Bug is a weird one, but I'm not sure if anyone much cares when it gets an occasional rehab. And it's only gone down a couple of times since AK opened for a month or two at a time aside from the limb issues (which is terrible, no excuse for that garbage). Hall of Presidents is a...

    Disney to Host 2024 Olympics?!

^ Maybe I wasn't clear, but I was trying to say stating that they could be in play for 2028 if LA didn't win in 2024 and if LA didn't re-bid for 2028. That's where the "assuming LA doesn't win for 2024" part comes in handy. :)

    A Spirited Valentine ...

That's all your opinion though and you're welcome to it. They really don't care if you personally are transported or if you or the public agree with aesthetics- those are just avenues to the actual thing they want. For Disney, success will be measured in time spent, merchandise, food, occupancy...

Star Wars All-Inclusive "Star Ship" Resort?

You have to remember that Hollywood budgets, much like ride budgets, are very misleading. Neither 245 or 300 are accurate I'm sure. The marketing and distribution costs sometimes double a film's budget, whereas other times it's less than 10%. Doesn't matter the film, the studio, how well it does...

News Disney Not Renewing Great Movie Ride Sponsorship Deal with TCM ; Attraction to Close

That's a NO all over the place if you truly know the rides. Besides the obvious different logs (which are a massive plus at WDW) you have: Different lighting schemes Different color palettes Different music/score Different lift mechanisms Different blocking mechanisms Different sound...

Expanded viewing areas coming to the Tree of Life Awakenings

You seem to be tired of most aspects relating to Disney, Disney World, and the people who run them. Probably time to cut your losses and move on. I can certainly tell that you enjoy the adulation and praise you receive for the tabloid trash you put out here far more than any enjoyment you get...

    Splash Mountain fall refurbishment 2017

I agree that some of Disney's rehabs are ridiculously long, and that they purposely wait to just fix stuff during the rehab. They also don't always bring a ride back on line with all of the effects which sucks. This upcoming downtime for Splash is backstage/infrastructure related though I'm sure...

Star Wars All-Inclusive "Star Ship" Resort?

I don't place people on ignore, but I'm going to have to ignore your further arguments in this particular thread because you seem to have no clue what you're taking about. Reviews and/or "buzz" surrounding a film doesn't correlate to sales/popularity or lack thereof. I agree that the prequels...

Rumor of Springs Light Show and 4th Parking Garage

Ugh, not this again. We've spent years debating whether or not stores will be/are successful at Disney Springs. Some don't play the market right, and some just are a bad fit or are in a poor location. Lots of stores are a departure from a typical layout/setup that chains are used to dealing with...

    Disney to Host 2024 Olympics?!

Laughable for 2024, as others have stated the potential cities submitted bids years ago... Then again, it's more about bribery and kickbacks so maybe by the time comes for 2028, assuming LA doesn't win for 2024 (they're the heavy favorite) or if another well equipped US city (or LA bidding...
