    Park capacity?

Park pass reservations - Why IS this free? Bob is leaving money on the table. It's obviously a valuable service if you want to get into the parks. It seems like $5/head/day would be reasonable to reserve space for a customer. It would also discourage those who reserve but don't show up. (they...

    Park capacity?

Park Hopping goes the other way, too. I've walked into the MK, got to the hub and thought, "Too busy..." and immediately headed out and went to another park.

    Park capacity?

I'm with you on this in thinking that there has to be a breaking point but, how would you tell Bob that? All he'd say is: "We've cut costs in every area and have raised prices and even have people paying to wait in line for attractions! People line up at the gates each and every day. Show me...

Rumor Hollywood insiders say there's growing tension at Disney as CEO Bob Chapek chafes at Bob Iger's 'long goodbye'

I think we're a generation out from the problems of today taking effect. Right now they're still living on the last generation's nostalgia reservoir. Given 10, maybe 20, years time, I think we'll see a very different Disney, with a different CEO, either: - if he's an historical Disney employee...

News New Polynesian Resort DVC villas building to open 2024

If all of the dining reservations are booked months in advance then they need more dining establishments, which this could help with. Plus, you could get some non-Disney restaurants in there which might mix things up a bit. I thought about the Disney Springs aspect but that is far enough away...

Disney plans to build a massive dynamic art installation on International Drive

How has no one said this, yet: "We have to wait until they build it before we can really pass judgement on it! It may be the best art installation ever!"

News New Polynesian Resort DVC villas building to open 2024

Here's a thought: I could see them moving the parking lots across the street and creating a resort "City-Walk" like area around the lake. Shopping and dining all around the lake would give people something to do while staying at the resorts and maybe ease the crowds of the parks as people left...

any good gifs of American Adventure Mark Twain smoking?

They didn't change this to get rid of the cigar or anything did they? (I'm thinking like they did with Pecos Bill)

    Disney's Punishment of Honest Media/Reviews

I wasn't saying that they couldn't be trusted. I think you're misapplying the logic. Normal park stuff? I think they're fine. I think that they can relate between spending their own money vs spending their business' money. For the Starcruiser, they: - pretty much had to do it to stay relevant...

    Disney's Punishment of Honest Media/Reviews

The reviews I heard were all very positive (, Len Testa, etc. The odd thing is that there have been more cancelations. $5000+ is a lot to spend for not even two days. You can do a lot of fun, interesting, worldly things with $5K+. That may be where the disconnect is. If I handed...

    Disney's Punishment of Honest Media/Reviews

I think it's just the nature of the beast. You have these vloggers who love Disney, do a line of pixie dust several times a day, and want to share that with others. They start off being VERY positive/excited/etc. They gain some traction on YouTube and Disney recognizes this and uses them as...

    I CANCELLED MY DISNEY TRIP

I don't think they have guests any longer. Just "customers".

    I CANCELLED MY DISNEY TRIP

Actually, it was Pete Werner (Dis Unplugged) who said it. Huge Disney fan. I think others have come out and said they especially don't like APers and call them something like Annual (or something along those lines).

    I CANCELLED MY DISNEY TRIP

When one hits, I think the question will be, "Did they off enough fans/APers?" That'll be the well the go to, as always, during tough times. My guess is that there is still enough nostalgia in the reservoir to sustain them. It's been noted that they hold their fans/APers in disdain.

    I CANCELLED MY DISNEY TRIP

I think it depends on the atmosphere. If I go to a Hooters and they hand me a roll of paper towels (which they do), it's what I expect because it's beer + bar food and not at all meant to be fancy. It's wings and beer. Le Cellier, however, presents a much different atmosphere. It's quiet. The...

    I CANCELLED MY DISNEY TRIP

I think that one of their major problems is that they're raising prices and, at the same time, cutting expenses. They can make the resort a super-premium resort (more so than now) which, effectively, only the rich and super rich can afford. There's probably enough people high enough on the...

Starcruiser: What do you think it'll be used for in 5 years?

Remember when Disney bought Star Wars and the worst part about it was I, II, and III? Everyone was heralding how Disney, because of their success with Marvel, could right the ship and Disney would be just printing money with Star Wars from there on out? ...and they screwed it up. Maybe a Star...

News Disney to develop residential communities with new 'Storyliving by Disney' business

I'd expect that. Some HOAs are like that. From my understanding, Celebration is like that. I'd basically just think of this as "franchised Celebrations." If you want to know what kinds of rules you'll live under, look at Celebration in FL. You'll either like them or you won't. That's probably...

Starcruiser: What do you think it'll be used for in 5 years?

They used to do that with Star Wars Weekends. It was a set of weekends in May which really pulled in the Star Wars fans each year. They let people come in and participate with LARPing and all that. They had parades, stars who'd sign their autographs, special merch (though the quality of the...

News New 'Ice Age' sand sculpture being built at Disney's Animal Kingdom celebrating new Disney+ original

No, but it's pirate themed all the way through. You don't start off with dead pirates and then there's a Toyota Prius, and then a mountain goat, and then some CAT earth moving equipment, and then a field of cabbage, and a clown..
