Rumor WDW is considering a Universal-like Express Pass

Yes that's insane. I also think the problem is the mindset that you need a Fast pass system to enjoy the parks.

Rumor WDW is considering a Universal-like Express Pass

Seeing that number blows my mind. Mainly cause of the amount of people that are satisfied with only 3.5 skips a day. Paying all that money to get on so few attractions.

Rumor WDW is considering a Universal-like Express Pass

I would love it to happen. Scrap LLMP and offer this in it's place. It's a much simpler system and a better spontaneous system.

How much does your average Disney World vacation cost?

We stay at the resort so we enjoy the beach, the pools at the resort, take the ferry to Put in bay. Yeah you can ride everything once in 2 days and be done the park. We also aren't happy with riding things once. Last time we went we rode Maverick 11 times and Steel Vengeance 8 times over the week.

How much does your average Disney World vacation cost?

For my family it's not that Disney is expensive. It's the value is not longer there. We go to Cedar Point every May for a week for less than $1500 as we have passes. My 4 year old loves it and that's all that matters.

When did Disney start overpromising and under delivering?

This is a good example of over promising and under delivering. IMO it's why using concept to hype the new project has been a bad idea. It's why we have threads like this. Look at what they promised for Communicore and what we ended up with.

What is one closed attraction that is considered beloved on here, but you think was over rated ?

I would take that over the Pooh ride that took its place. For me one attraction that I think is overrated is Disney Quest. IMO it was a bigger version of your average mall arcade.

When did Disney start overpromising and under delivering?

Agreed. I liked how Eisner took a chance with more adult attractions like Aliens and Pleasure Island. I know I'm in the minority but I actually liked the original DCA. Mainly cause it kept the idea of each park having its own theme.

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

The additions of thrills being a focus for one. Of all the new additions coming they had more thrills coming then they used to. Mini lands is another, I know it's not just an Epic Universe thing but they copied that from Universal.

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

All these new announcements from D23 all feel reactive to Epic Universe. It's like they looked at Epic Universe and see what they are doing, and copied it with the Disney version. They are adding more thrills then they did before, and adding standalone IP lands I really feel they have lost...

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

A lot of the new GP only care about flashy and thrills. Could care less about the theme of the park. Instead of being transported to a Western themed land they want to hear "Kachow Kachow"

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

IMO it's all cause they announce these things way too early. D23 announcements should be for things that have shovels in the ground on.

News 2023 TEA/AECOM Global Attendance Report, EPCOT Sees Significant Growth

For the most part your post is true. There is many parks that people travel to that are based on thrill rides. Cedar Point is one, I would put Magic Mountain and Knotts as a couple others. If they didn't create repeat visitors I doubt Universal would keep adding them. They have 4 coasters...

News 2023 TEA/AECOM Global Attendance Report, EPCOT Sees Significant Growth

I hear that all the time. Yeah they could use some more family oriented rides. The funny thing is how Disney adding more themed thrills than family oriented attractions and nobody complains about it. At WDW they are removing 3 no height requirement attractions for 2 that do and most don't have a...

News 2023 TEA/AECOM Global Attendance Report, EPCOT Sees Significant Growth

I agree. I think the problem is many Disney fans aren't always ride fans. They go to Disney for the IP and experience. Many don't understand or know the coaster community. If people hated coaster parks so much none would ever hit the attendance they do.

Rumor D23 2024 WDW Rumors, Predictions & Discussion

I'm sure it will do just fine. Now with 3 parks and a water park it makes them 3-4 day visit.

News 2023 TEA/AECOM Global Attendance Report, EPCOT Sees Significant Growth

They used to and still do but not as much as they used to. A lot of them are adding more family level coasters a long with the big ones. Families want the thrills for all ages. It's no surprise Disney is adding more thrills and coasters

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

I disagree. From the beginning the parks were based on unique themes. Eisner at least recognized that and tried to keep that. Iger and friends view the parks as dollar signs only. No care for nostalgia or theme.

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Growing up the Disney Parks were built on nostalgia. All of that was pushed to way side for flashy IP. It's really sad how Iger and friends view the parks. At least the Japanese parks understand that still.

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

I know @Poseidon Quest posts here but his latest video fits this discussion. It's worth looking up and it might help those who don't understand the anger about replacing Rivers of America understand why.
