News Walt Disney World's iconic Twilight Zone Tower of Terror billboard to be permanently removed

I believe those were removed when the work started on all the enhancements to the magic kingdom entrance roadways. The bugs life one was definitely in the way of the new road being constructed, not sure if mission space one was. It might have been also as they added that road towards that avoids...

What will Disney announce for Disney World at the 2022 D23 expo?

I appreciate your optimism, but the company just cut back on numerous projects like the festival center and outright cut out a bunch of projects like Mary poppins ride and the spaceship earth redo. They wouldn’t be scaling back on all those costs only to then come forward and announce a bunch of...

Orlando Becoming East Coast Headquarters for Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products

That’s why I think people need to tailor their expectations for D23. I wouldn’t expect any new projects for the US parks.

    News D23 Expo 2022

Not super confident that this year is going to be anything major. Obviously they backed away from a bunch of announced projects to cut cash so I can’t see them announcing something major when you didn’t even want to spend money to finish what had already been announced. It’s probably just gonna...

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind Virtual Queue and Lightning Lane status

Is there still no chance to buy a lightning lane when the park opens at 9am due to resort guests buying them all?

    Pavilion Merchandise or...Lack of..

I think people have to remember that if it sells Disney will sell it. This forum in particular loves to highlight the greed and money grabbing ways of the Disney corp but then contradict that with the idea that for some reason they refuse to sell a Test Track Crash Test Dummy Goofy that would...

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

This ride definitely causes motion sickness. I’ve ridden it probably 5 or 6 times now, only once have I ridden it back to back. I would say riding back to back is not a good idea for many, it made me feel really queasy. One thing I also noticed is that riding in the front seat made me feel very...

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

I agree, there is no theming and it’s like “ok did I exit out the wrong door? Am I in a cast member area?” I find the whole queue experience underwhelming. You basically stand in a big room with a screen above you with stars on it. Then you see little exhibits in cases, but the large model is...

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

Also find it odd that the guest reaction was “stale” to the ride. I don’t consider it FoP or Rise level but I can’t imagine not coming off the ride with a smile on your face.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

Really surprised Josh wasn’t there. He has been really good about attending these moments. I would give him the benefit of the doubt that he will show up later today or this weekend.

Hour long wait to get through TTC security today - May 23

Remember that TTC never used to do security screening, this big mess used to be at the entrance to MK. It’s just swapped locations.

News New Play Pavilion to replace Epcot's Wonders of Life

So when is Play pavilion opening? I’m sure this hasn’t been cancelled as they need a place for parents to take kids on this side of the park that can’t ride Guardians, Mission Space or Test Track.

'Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind' FAQ

Just to add I rode with someone who got physically sick and vomited. This was after a second ride on the attraction and they threw up midway through that second ride. I really feel like the motion sickness element of this ride is being understated. Also, are we going to get a review from this...

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

So I’ve been fortunate to ride a few times now. One of those was two rides back to back and the second time someone I was with 🤮 halfway thru the second ride. And I definitely felt nauseous after that second ride. On a subsequent ride days later I rode once and felt nauseous after only that...

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

Got to ride this again today and it definitely pushes those motion sickness boundaries. It’s 3 minutes of twisting and turning on a coaster track in the dark looking at screens.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

I think the term family coaster is not very accurate for this attraction. That almost indicates that all ages could ride this and I think you would find that many older adults will have a hard time riding this due to being more prone to motion sickness. My late 60’s early 70’s parents could ride...

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

Didn’t read all 22 pages of this thread so not sure if anyone cares anymore at this point but I was able to ride it twice so far. The one word I would use to describe it is FUN! While I’m on it I’m smiling ear to ear. It’s not intense or scary at all, but the two elements that really pull it...

    Kidani Village pool reopened yet?

Anyone at AKL know if the Kidani Village pool and kids splash area has reopened from refurbishment? It just says January through April but it doesn’t give an end date in April.

Journey of Water featuring Moana coming to Epcot

Does anyone know what this is actually supposed to be? I’m under the impression it’s just a walk around area maze like area with artificial rockwork and small waterfalls. Are you walking around and touching things to make stuff happen like water fountains jump or rocks to glow or something...
