News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

Should we take that to mean that the height requirement won’t be higher than 40”?

News Announced: Mary Poppins Attraction in UK Pavilion

To be fair, though, that’s more like the Jungle Cruise being inspired by old adventure serials than it is Peter Pan’s Flight. I don’t think anyone in the queue in 1959 was expecting to see the main characters from the movie when they got on.

    Probably because of Halloween!

Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run - Ride/Queue Details and Discussion

Coaxium is just the fancy sci-fi name for fuel in Star Wars; specifically, the type of fuel that allows ships to jump to light speed. In the ride you’re attempting to grab as much of it as you can. You’re guaranteed to get at least one case of it so that you don’t fail the mission, but if you do...

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Do we think that they’ll launch new datapad missons/jobs with the ride? I’d imagine that they’d have some Resistance tasks to do in the queue, and there could be a First Order version where you take on the role of a spy while you wait instead.

New Roundup Rodeo BBQ sit-down restaurant coming to TSL

Yeah, I’d guess this and potentially a new Falcon mission would be the 50th anniversary additions for DHS.

News Announced: Mary Poppins Attraction in UK Pavilion

I think the scope of the museum is the determining factor for me. Walt Disney Presents, which takes a solid twenty minutes to walk through, is an attraction to me, but the Nordic gods exhibit in Norway wouldn’t be.

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

There is one! We didn’t get a picture on it when we went, but here’s a pic of it (from Undercover Tourist). It’s in one of the courtyards next to Savi’s Workshop.

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

You can see the Contemporary from the Magic Kingdom because they designed it to be seen as part of Tomorrowland. That’s not a sightline issue, it was literally planned.

Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run - Ride/Queue Details and Discussion

Yes, they both are. Gunners have several buttons that control the lasers, which can be fired at any time, as well as a big orange one that fires missiles at a specific time. Engineers don’t have to do anything until the pilots mess up, at which point any number of buttons light up and have...

REVIEW - Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo at Disney's Hollywood Studios

This is better. The theming’s up first, but it’s also easier to immediately figure out what everything is.

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

Yeah, Tron, while less than ideal, is partially covered by Space Mountain, trees, and the canopy, and there’s still the possibility of theming the show building to a small degree (re:paint) since the walls haven’t gone up yet. With Guardians, what you see now is what you get.

News Announced: Mary Poppins Attraction in UK Pavilion

Any possibility of a Vekoma Madhouse? Someone posted a video of the one at Efteling in another thread and I couldn’t help but think of I Love to Laugh and Turning Turtle when I saw it.

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

Is there any hope of a turnaround in the near future? It’s fascinating in the worst way to watch such corporate waste.

    Future of Star Tours

I think it depends on what your view on interactive rides and experiences is; Falcon is similar to Toy Story Mania in that it requires active participation in order to get the most enjoyment out of it. It is not a “sit back and enjoy the ride” type of attraction.

News Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser coming to Walt Disney World 2021

I think the concerns about long term demand are why the hotel is being built with 100 rooms rather than a thousand; even if it’s a one and done for every single guest who does it, it’s still going to take an incredibly long time to get through all those people because of the low throughput.

News Tomorrowland Speedway and Walt Disney World Railroad to be impacted by TRON construction at the Magic Kingdom

I’d like to think we’ll get a Universal Hollywood tram tour-style video of light cycles racing alongside the train as it passes through the tunnel, but I don’t think we’ll get anything else as far as setpieces or major visuals of interest.

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

Wait, so the train comes to a complete stop after the outdoor portion? I thought it was just a trim brake (slowing but not stopping).

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Yeah, but this isn’t a hanging rollercoaster, it’s a family dark ride. Disney prides themselves on being much more accessible than other theme parks, and as someone who has traveled with guests of varying age and physical ability, that’s a standard I hope they continue to hold themselves to.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

If I had to guess, it’s probably (at least partially) because of the flack they received from Pandora’s attractions not being very accessible. I’d assume that an ADA bay was also out of the question because of the previously mentioned show concerns; I’d imagine that it would have necessitated...
