    Pre-Trip Guess who's going back?

Thank goodness! Looks like he also got downgraded to a TD instead of a TS. I lived in Florida for 18 years (North Florida 15, South Florida 3) so I am always ready for rain! :joyfull: ☔ Still, sometimes it's easy to forget that Florida rain is a liiiiiiitle different than rain in the rest of...

Pre-Trip It’s been 2 long years… Watch out Disney, here we come! 😉

YES. We leave Monday, and we did a thorough kitchen clean over the weekend so we just have to touch up before we go. We also did five loads of laundry (and we are just two people) and will do at least two more before we leave. We started cleaning the bathrooms and will finish this weekend. Most...

    Pre-Trip Guess who's going back?

Everyone has their lodging figured out, hooray! Obviously M and I will be at the Contemporary/Swan. M's parents will be offsite in Kissimmee. My brother is staying offsite in the LBV area BUT the vacation creep has set in and he's now going to drive down after work on Friday 8/19 (instead of...

    Pre-Trip Guess who's going back?

I almost had a crisis today! This may be a long, confusing story. This morning I bought some Disney gift cards from Target (RedCard 5% discount!) totaling an amount large enough to cover the remainder of our resort balance for the Contemporary. This afternoon I called and paid in full. After...

Single digit dance day! We started packing today! I was supposed to be off next weekend but I got called into my church singjngjob the day before we leave. Which is fine because money, but it means we will have a little less prep time.

Let's have a bit of a laugh. What restaurant do you secretly enjoy that everyone else thinks you're nuts for?

Right?? I think at first people didn't like it because it was tapas-style and didn't have "entrées." Plus the people who complain that things are too "spicy" or "exotic."

    Park at TTC for Epcot?

Yes you can, and I think your plan sounds good. Disney doesn't care where you park as long as you're paying and not getting free parking by parking at a resort and taking a bus/boat/monorail/walking path to the park.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Swan & Dolphin?

Ooof yes. We have seen more abandoned drink glasses at the Swolphin than any other Disney resort.

Let's have a bit of a laugh. What restaurant do you secretly enjoy that everyone else thinks you're nuts for?

Spice Road Table, at least the old version before Disney took over the whole pavilion.

The Fountain has our favorite ice cream on property! We also like the food at the restaurant.

    Pre-Trip Guess who's going back?

Dining updates! I cancelled GF Café. The menu is not that appealing and we may not want to resort hop that day anyway. If we do, we may try for Trader Sam's Tiki Terrace which has a veggie rainbow roll and some tofu lettuce cups. Contempo Café has some good veggie options and at some point we...

    Seeking airbnb advice

Looks like your situation was resolved, but wanted to add my two cents in case people have similar questions in the future. I am not an AirBNB host, but I am a freelancer and some of my work comes from sites where all communication and billing is done through the site. When potential clients...

If you could design the Disney dining plan-what changes would you make?

As a vegetarian I would like the option for a veg-only dining plan with a much lower price tag. Why should I pay the same up front if my entrée costs $10-25 less OOP than the meat entrées? Obviously this will never happen and this is just one reason I will never pay for the DDP.
