But all of that is part of the package. People have to eat. If you leave to eat off property you lose those hours of entertainment. Or basically standing in line

I'm gonna partially agree with you. Yes they definitely want new money. But at the cost of steady money? They've gotten considerably less out of my pocket the last few years.

We still go, just not as often. We don't eat much in the park. With DVC we go shopping and have food, beer, coffee etc... in the room. Go to parks every so often when we get a comped ticket or go a DVC event.

Everything got answered yesterday. According to DVC they were going to contact everyone affected by this whether or not they contacted DVC or not. We got our points back to DVC points, 2-4 day non expiration hopper passes and a $400 visa disney gift card. And that was all my wife...

True, but cash customers were given the option to sail the 2 day cruise or cancel all together without a penalty. If they sailed, they were given half their money back, a $250 onboard credit, and 40% off a future sailing. Our only options were to take the 2 day sailing and get half points back...
