News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

That IMO is still on the milder side. Why not a 100 foot drop and faster than 50 mph.

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Yes they have some thrill but it's nothing big like River Adventure with its drop. IMO the mix of thrill and theme at WDW is Tower of Terror. That's the kind of thrill WDW should do more of.

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

I would take Jurassic River Adventure over either one of those. It does one thing many of these rides don't. Is it has thrills to go along with the immersive theming.

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

The way I look at any attraction is if you take away the IP is the ride still good. IMO lately a lot aren't. Dinosaur is a good example where it's a great attraction even without IP.

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

Apparently that is the plan, they know the money is in the theme parks. It's definitely not in streaming or media right now.

News Test Track to be reimagined

Disagree. Those were a lot better immersive experiences than a lot of the stuff now. Many are short and with little substance. I would rather those original Epcot rides over the half-assed thrills they do now. If you're going to do thrills add some intensity for a change.

That's what the AK additions are for. There is a new carousel coming for you

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

This should be a high speed thrilling race through the wilderness. Cars is about racing, not a Sunday drive through the backwoods of Frontierland. It should be as fast as Test Track if not faster.

    News Disneyland Magic Key Program

Yet people keep buying them. If you want change you have to stop buying passes. There is many other parks to visit

    Article: How The Mouse Stumbled........

You mean all the new attractions that are replacing old attractions. No net new capacity. Gotcha. I get the excitement of Monsters, Cars and the AK additions but at the end of the day they are just replacing old attractions. Yes it will be more used capacity than what was there, it doesn't fix...

    HHN 2024

I'm not saying the parks are avoiding scares but GP in general have that belief.

    HHN 2024

I don't blame them for going that route. A lot of parks Haunts have gone that way. Other parks even sell necklaces to wear for scaredy cats to not be scared in scare zones. Parks are starting to head towards a more family oriented thing. That's where the money is. IMO SeaWorld and Busch...

    Article: How The Mouse Stumbled........

I disagree. IMO dark rides like Horizons were much better than a lot of the dark rides they make now. My other problem is the thrills they do add are lackluster compared to what Universal does. IMO if you going to add thrills make it worth while.

    Article: How The Mouse Stumbled........

It depends on how you look at it. For me who started going to the parks since the mid 80s, they have gotten worse. What made them different is not just IP or attractions but each park had its theme. They have slowly made all the parks blend together. They focus too much on E tickets for new...

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

I understand the youngins wanting new IP they know. Many forget they parks were built on nostalgia. I don't know they can't have a balance with new and old. With all the land they have they should have no problem doing both.

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

In theory having it available is the right idea. Problem is they don't have enough capacity for it to work. You're seeing it with every version of this system. Many attractions are sold out and very quickly. The other benefits to limiting how many people buy it are that those who do buy...
