I believe that at least at one point that was genuinely the case - Stitch actually outpaced both Mickey and Winnie the Pooh in terms of merch sales somewhere in the last 20 years. I wouldn't assume that's necessarily still the case, but that's a big part of why he was suddenly everywhere back...

People say that, but there are many more theme parks run by other companies that don't come close to Disney's level than there are theme parks run by other companies who exceed it. With that in mind, if The OLC would like to place a bid for full parks ownership I'd say we should hear them out.

Oh I agree that projections are insufficient. I just think the Dreamlights weren't quite all that, even at their best. I would also be plenty thrilled with a winter overlay that's closer in line with what Disneyland does. Of course their castle is much smaller and easier to decorate in this...

I would assume it won't be open for your trip - the way it was phrased to me made October feel more like best case scenario than like a sure thing. Plus, it's better to expect nothing and be pleasantly surprised than to expect to ride and be disappointed. I'll cross my fingers for you, though 🤞🤞🤞

This may be an unpopular opinion, but the Dreamlights never quite earned their keep for me. They take forever to install, muck up the face of the castle during the day, and look kind of cool at night but not as sophisticated as I think they should. I wish they'd just find a way to run Fiber...
