Not exactly:
Think of Shanghai Pirates as more like Cosmic Rewind, where the vehicle can be spun to face any direction, where Moana is more like Indiana Jones or Dinosaur!, where the vehicle can be made to feel like it's experiencing turbulence.
(I suppose it's possible Moana may also be...
At the moment I’m not sure.
The treatment they’re giving Indiana Jones makes me think they’ve got to be doing *something* to make more sense of Encanto in the park, if only because it’d be odd to make the effort for one attraction and not the other. So if I had to guess, probably? But that is...
Intrinsic Value of Nature: “Man, weren’t Dinosaurs amazing? It’s so sad that they’re extinct, and that our contemporary experience of these magnificent creatures amounts to THIS”
Psychological Transformation through Adventure: “Now that I see this, wouldn’t it be better if these awesome beasts...
You didn't realize that mischaracterizing someone's opinion in an attempt to undercut people's perception of their taste would be upsetting? Interesting.
I'll tell you what, it'd be a lot less bothersome if the response was more like "I'm so sorry, I made a mistake, I won't do that again" and...
No, let's back up again - I didn't "change my mind".
I was told that WDI had something up their sleeve, and was willing to wait to see how it turned out before passing judgement. What was described to me was not what was eventually built (that's a simple way of putting it, since I'm not at...
Or they do a secret 4th thing.
It's not that crazy difficult to find an adventure for Indy that makes sense for both him and the park.
Or if it is, lucky us because it seems like they've found one.
I'd recommend you pull quotes for this sort of thing in the future rather than just allowing yourself to misremember, because I haven't said that.
Based on what I was being told was to be done, I was open to the possibility of The Hatbox Ghost in the Endless Hall, execution pending - and...
I'll say this - I've spent years arguing that Indy isn't a good fit for Animal Kingdom. Then a few weeks ago I saw some *stuff*, and now I'm excited for it to happen.
I still think the property overall is a better fit for Studios, and would prefer Dinosaur! be updated rather than removed, but...
Seems like a bold claim in a thread where not only are many denouncing that exact idea but also denouncing Encanto, Indiana Jones, Coco, Moana, and Zootopia as fit for Animal Kingdom.
Doesn't really look like opinions change just because Disney moves plans forward.
I personally would prefer Indy go to DHS - but the attraction they're designing for AK is meant for AK, and what I've seen looks damn good.
I wouldn't call it simply a tweaked version of the existing Indiana Jones Adventure attractions, and it certainly won't be cheap.
Do we know what the feedback is like on the current film? I hear a lot of complaints from the general public. I wonder if they’d shoot a new film in the next decade - though they’d probably sooner fall back on the original once again.
