Why is WDW so stressful, expensiv and overcrowded these days? The fear of dissapointment from a 2020-First-Timer

I admit I chuckled when I read that you want to sleep in but also don't want to deal with crowds. I think this might not be the trip for you. I haven't read through all 6 pages of posts so I don't know if this has already been suggested, but I would say your best bet - instead of complaining...

    Paperboy in SSE

Zombie thread alert...just got back from my most recent trip and searched the boards looking for this answer! I swear he was facing forward every other time I've been on the ride, most recently last September! Has he really been turned around for 12 years and I only noticed this week?!? I've...

    What if Disney went dry......

Yes. My friend just "drank around the world" this past weekend and all I could think of was how much money he literally peed down the toilets. I would prefer to use that money for an additional day in the parks!

    What if Disney went dry......

I really hate that Epcot has become the place for grownups to get wasted. Waiting in line for a bathroom in the evening in WS reminds me of spring break in Cancun. Lots of sloppy drunks trying hard to hold their pee. It's obnoxious. I don't mind the booze in the restaurants but the fact that...

Something is going to happen to Fantasmic

Agreed. I have seen it dozens of times at WDW, then I saw it for the first time at DL and can't even bring myself to go back to the one at WDW. That little boat is so TINY and sad in comparison. In that big arena it looks ridiculous once you see how impressive the DL show is.

Hollywood Studios land entry after park close

I don't know about SWGE specifically, but with all of the parks, if you aren't on a line when the park closes they will start to slowly usher you towards the gift shops at the exit.

Has Disney Pricing Increases/Atmosphere Cuts Altered YOUR FAMILIES WDW Attendance?

Every time I think Disney charges too much, I go to another theme park (like Six Flags or Sesame Place) and then vow to pay any amount of money Disney will charge me and never go anywhere else again. Yes, I wish it was still as affordable as it used to be, but I am still willing to pay because...

    Post-Check In Activities

If I can't get to the parks at rope drop, I consider it a wasted day ;) So, we always just hang out at the hotel, go to the pool, the arcade, etc, and then head over to DS for some shopping and dinner.

    Magic Bands in Civilian Life

I generally keep mine on for a few days after getting home, because I'm in denial my trip is over. I also live in Queens. My daughter wore hers for a month after our last trip. I finally had to force her to take it off..

What are the smallest crowds you've experienced in WDW?

Back when E-ride nights was a thing. I believe it was during my 1998 trip, we were there for 11 days and my friend and I managed to squeeze in a few E-ride nights during that time. For an extra $12 we stayed in MK until 2am. I can't even believe that was a thing, given how expensive any extra...

    Favorite WDW restaurants for kids

My 8 year old is not so into character meet and greets anymore so her new favorite is Sci-Fi dine in theater. Both she and my 5 year old loved it. We are doing the Hoop De Doo review this upcoming trip - I showed them youtube videos of it and they are so excited.

What are you favorite things about the Disneyland Resort?

I'm normally a WDW-goer but there are some things about DL that I enjoy so much more! -The old fastpass system! I hate the online reservations, having to plan out my rides 60 days in advance, the lack of ability to be spontaneous, etc that come with the FP+ reservation system. I miss when...

    Do you disembark in Nassau?

Hi all, I'm planning a 3 night Bahamian cruise for my 40th birthday in April. I haven't been on a Disney cruise since I was 19, so it's been a while! I have two small kids, so most of the Port Adventures are off the table for us, since the kids would need to be older. Last time I went swimming...

2 parents - 3 kids.. stroller logistics help!

Pile all three kids in the double stroller. When my oldest was 6 we did not bring a stroller for her. We walked most of the day but when she got tired, we put her in the stroller and had her sister sit on her lap (sis was 3). They both managed to fall asleep that way. And that was just a tiny...

How much $ is to much $ to charge for stuff.

I learned how to do fancy hairstyles on my girls, bought them $14 Disney hair extensions and brought their costumes from home each trip...literally saved thousands over the years in bibidi bobiti boutique expenses.

    Strategies for additional Fast Passes

I thought you were only allowed FP in one park per day? I've never had any luck getting additional FPs for anything significant anyway so I'm not sure how much of a difference it would make either way lol. But I'll be park hopping on my next trip and would love to try anyway!
