Walkway between Shades of Green and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort to permanently close

I quite agree. I am not sure if people are jealous that they cannot stay at SoG or what their point of contention is regarding why it's bad that the walkway is permanently closed. I would even guess that the number of people making that walk probably equaled the number of people walking from...

Walkway between Shades of Green and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort to permanently close

Technically, it is a two-way walkway as SoG guests would want to walk back to their resort. When we stay at Contemporary/Bay Lake, we walk to MK every time and I think a lot of people are the same. Plus, they can walk (if they are gluttons for punishment) from TTC to SoG if there is a walkway...

Disney’s Broken Theme Park Promises & False Advertising

Layout (Original to Revisions): https://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/original-seven-dwarfs-mine-train.891720/ The above picture was the original concept art that Disney released and it does not resemble what the ride ended up being. The original question was around false advertising. I brought...

Disney’s Broken Theme Park Promises & False Advertising

Pity that they don't plan on giving him a magazine to read.

Disney’s Broken Theme Park Promises & False Advertising

What about the concept art for Seven Dwarves Mine Train that showed an elaborate layout as compared to what we ended up with? Or the Slink Dog coaster that showed the coaster going through trenches and then not so much? I'm not sure that concept art would count as false advertising, though, as...

What are your top three attractions ever designed and opened by WDI? (defunct attractions are fair game)

You have such a good list. Mine would be: 1. Spaceship Earth: Perfect music and sets. 2. Pirates of the Caribbean: Awesome ride where IP was unnecessary. Great for all ages. 3. Haunted Mansion: Same as above. Everything is perfect from the queue through to the exit. Bonus Pick...

    Indiana Jones Land?

Yeah, Jurassic River Adventure soaked me to the core but is a great ride (technically, IoA has three water rides). When I got to my hotel room that night, I was still wet in uncomfortable ways and places. As you said, walking with wet shoes or other garments is not a fun way to spend a day. I...

    Indiana Jones Land?

I will submit that it depends on the water ride. For instance, aside from when I'm unlucky enough to get hit by the jet on Pirates which is rare, I usually walk off that ride dry. We rode Splash once and got soaked by the jet by the drop (prior to where our boat was getting ready to go up the...

News Zootopia and Moana Blue Sky concepts for Disney's Animal Kingdom

Exactly. The animals are walking around drinking coffee, ordering food at stores, and, in general, acting like humans. The humor pulls against some of the animal traits (ex arctic vs rain forest, how fast rabbits breed, herd behaviors), but the main focus is human-based actions. I would also...

People who wear black clothes on a HOT day

That's the first thing I thought of was good old Jurassic Park when he talks to Ellie Sattler. In the book, he even goes on that he finds wearing one color liberating as he doesn't waste time figuring his outfits out. I tend to wear black slacks, an undershirt, and a polo at WDW or amusement...

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

That's something that I wish as well. A fountain seems like it would have given the area an even better ambiance.

Rumor WDW Rumor Tracker - The Fourth Awakens

As stated, thank you for this clarification. That's what I wondered and why I was asking if it was legitimate. I had a hard time thinking that Disney could start anything in less than a year, much less 30 days.

Rumor WDW Rumor Tracker - The Fourth Awakens

I was hoping someone good at uncovering permits and such could validate what this gentleman says at the 27:45 mark. It looks real but I'm no informed judge and definitely not an insider.

Rumor WDW Rumor Tracker - The Fourth Awakens

A real estate blogger said that the Epcot hotel permit had been refreshed today. Does anyone know if that is real? $50-75M budget with sitework underway and possible verticle construction in 30 days. Start date is 5/1/2023 and is by Buena Vista Construction. Project Type is Swimming Pool...

Rumor Higher Speed Rail from MCO to Disney World

To me, the big draw will be the Brightline run from Orlando to Tampa. That opens up going to Busch Gardens, depending on where the Tampa station will be. I guess Uber ride from the station to Busch Gardens would work as well. I have always wanted to go back to BG when down there but the drive...

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

I was doubtful that they would stay true to the concept art. I am glad that they are doing this as it is much nicer to walk through than just a concrete pad.

News Disney Lakeshore Lodge (Project 89 - Development near Fort Wilderness)

When we did our tour, the Studio seemed tiny. It just seems like the DVC studios at other resorts were larger. That may have just been perception, though.

Will the trees stay and (hopefully) more be added or are they mainly being used as a type of scrim?

    Digestive problems at WDW?

We purchased some burritos from Tortuga Tavern. I didn't detect anything nefarious but, at the same time, I was starting to develop a food allergy and may have triggered it. We got on Pirates and I wasn't feeling great when suddenly knew that the ride was a bad idea. However, we had moved...
