If there is any truth to this rumor, that is certainly the case. I have not read anywhere that it would affect resort guests or folks with reservations, so it would only be to deter people trying to avoid paying money for parking.

I went to the park the very next day after the metal arches of doom went up. I was very politely told I had been selected for screening. They told me to keep all watches, belts, etc. on and only empty my pockets. I walked through, they said thanks, and it was done. Quick, easy, painless.
