Changes at WDW due to alligator attack (dedicated thread)

Wow it is 2 years today isn't it. That was a terrible evening. Just put a huge cloud over us the rest of our summer vacation. Even when we with enormous relief moved over to Boardwalk just couldn't shake that oppression. I'm actually glad WDW is memorializing this little boys brief life on their...

Last Minute June Trip!!! In Need of Advice...

Wow that sounds like a great itinerary. As soon as you finish the last FP on Day 2 at Mk, use your app on your phone to make a FP for something at HS. You may be able to get a couple of FP's even after FP 4 is completed at HS depending on how busy that park is that evening. As for BOG opening up...

    Using FP With Rider Swap

I don't really consider it gaming the system. You might not be waiting in stand-by but you are waiting somewhere with that under 38" tall child. Figure every premium ride even with FP takes at least 30 minutes to get on and complete. You are standing by with that child for at least 30 minutes...

    For $1,000 less I could....

I think DVC points will end up costing them more per night than the cabins. The Cabins, a 2 bedroom DVC, a club level deluxe room, or a suite at the All Stars or AoA are about all their options for staying onsite because their oldest is 18 and classified as a 3rd adult. The cabins at least give...

    orange lake resort, FL

We stayed there for a few nights in October of 2016. Really nice large 2 bedroom. The big pool was a quite a ways away. We didn't have much traffic driving into Disney a couple of days for EPCOT F&W. I doubt I would stay there again because all it really reinforced for me was I prefer the bubble...

    For $1,000 less I could....

I think their dates include free dining , or at least they do if you are a Disney Visa card holder... that's why I am thinking they took the QS plan because their dates offered it for free under a current promo.

    SSR to four seasons?

LOL the kid size was big enough I got a slice and those 2 are big eaters, Four Seasons is my absolute favorite resort. The rooms are spacious and clean, the bathrooms awesome, the kids shower and bathe twice a day when we stay there I never have to say take a bath. The pool area phenomenal, lazy...

    For $1,000 less I could....

Honestly the one time I stayed offsite last October for like a 3 day trip was pretty peaceful and the 2 bedroom condo was nice...that being said, I go to Orlando for Disney and I prefer the bubble. I prefer the bubble over any convenience or cost savings offsite would offer. I think offsite is...

    For $1,000 less I could....

LOL I've always wondered if those cabins would be worth it. I decided a while back only if I was basically going to treat it like a camping experience and not try and do parks. The kids really want to try the cabins. To them that looks like a vacation experience in itself, LOL.

    For $1,000 less I could....

I always stay onsite...Once last October before a cruise we stayed 4 nites at the Holiday Inn Orange Lake resort. It was really nice and peaceful, tons of space..and not Disney.

    Using FP With Rider Swap

We use the crap out of your friends method. I feel whatever "gaming" we do is legitimate because waiting around or wandering around with an under 38" tall person ain't no walk in the park so to speak.

Need help Imagining 1st Day Possibilties

July mid week checking in at BC? I'd probably have my pool bag handy and hit either the quiet pool or Stormalong Bay until around 2pm. With a 4pm ADR at Ohana, I would just share a burger, or appetizers from Crews Cup once I let front desk know we were there. I try not to hit the deck running on...

    SSR to four seasons?

Yes several times for the GOOFY Breakfast and once in the evening. The character breakfast is really nice. The food selection on the buffet and quality is similar to that at Fresh Med over at Dolphin.Character interaction very good. At dinner I had the Ravioli and the kids of course had pizza...

    SSR to four seasons?

They do have a bus but honestly I've only stayed there twice and since I had a car I never bothered to ask about the bus schedule for the parks or the springs. Seems like Uber would be your best bet.

    Annual Passholder Ticket/Pandora Conundrum

Yes I was in the park with them that day. It was one of those give up the FP to 7DMT deals for a grandkid situation where the daughter was able to get herself and a grandkid a FP but not the other grandkid, so I gave him my MB and he went on with his mom and sister.
