    Motion Sickness/Simulator Sickness

I've been on every thrill ride imaginable, including just about every coaster on the east coast. However, the only ride I've ever gotten sick on is the Astro Orbiters..........

    First time visit planning

Just my view, but when my kids first went to WDW (6 and 4) we built in a plan to leave the park at lunch, nap (too cold to swim) and come back in the evening. Also we limited them to one late night at the MK for fireworks. Even so, my oldest broke down on the last day and spend the day in the...

Flight costs in April - outrageously priced :(

The only problem with the association between lower gas prices and airline prices is the airlines buy their fuel on massive forward contracts, to try to hedge themselves from rising prices. These contracts can be as long as 6 months to a year, so if gas prices suddenly fall, the airlines are...

East Coast-Drive vs. Train vs. Fly

It's amazing the change in the drive from NY once you're south of DC. From Long Island to DC, it can be 3-5 hours of the most stressful driving. Once south of DC, as long as you're OK with 95 becoming a 2 lane road, it's almost peaceful.

    Plans for EPCOT?

Considering the Disney board had to have the nickels beaten out of them to fund the no-brainer upgrades at DHS, I personally don't see where the funding to upgrade EPCOT will come from.

East Coast-Drive vs. Train vs. Fly

Spirit is a complete rip off-you need to add about $100/pp each way to the quoted fare between bag fees, online check in fees, non-middle seat fees............ I fly SW whenever I can, especially out of Islip (I live equidistant between JFK and Islip).

Flight costs in April - outrageously priced :(

For President's week out of NYC, I was looking at around $450/pp to Orlando. Eventually I found a Southwest fare of $250/pp out of LGA (cough, gag), especially good considering SW offers free checked bags.

    1st family vacation

Honestly, my fav restaurant for a grown-ups night out is Jiko at AK.

    First time visit planning

It's an awfully open ended question that really depends on what you want to see and do and what your budget is. I've primarily stayed in the All-Star resorts with two connecting rooms, but I have friends who will never stay anywhere but the Poly or the GF.

    Crowd level this February?

Taking my kids down to WDW for President's week, the crowd calendars are expecting 2/14+2/15 to be very high, then average the rest of the week. We shall see, but I've managed crowds before

How to apportion park tickets? 6 YO/2.5YO GIRLS?

I personally never buy Park Hoppers as the expenditure in time does not justify the benefit. Plus with kids those ages, one park is plenty.

East Coast-Drive vs. Train vs. Fly

The most tortuous part of the drive was entering FL from GA, despite another 3.5 hours to Orlando, all my kids saw was we were in FL and expected us to arrive at Disney any moment.

    Resort buses

The buses are what they need to be, clean and reliable. Like any other city, efficiency is affected by how many people are using it. Last time we visited during Christmas, we may have had to wait 15-20 minutes to get onto a bus (I personally thought the dispatching was off as we would get 2-3...

Best Parks for First Time Visit

My logic with delaying the MK is it colors the kids' expectations for EPCOT and AK.

    Best CBR locations

What are the best locations to request at CBR, considering proximity to buses and dining? I currently have a standard room reservation.

East Coast-Drive vs. Train vs. Fly

I live equidistant between JFK and Islip, unfortunately Southwest fares out of Islip were +$150 over LGA. Every time I've flown out of Islip it's been a dream, 15 minutes from car to gate. How I hate LGA.............

Best Parks for First Time Visit

Not applicable for me, but I was having a discussion with a co-worker who is taking their kids for the first time in March and she sought counsel on what parks to hit first. My advice was Avoid whatever park had early EMH that day Since she's going off-season, utilize late EMH For first time...

East Coast-Drive vs. Train vs. Fly

Thankfully I was able to score tickets from LGA (:depressed:) via Southwest for $220/pp President's week. All other carriers were well north of $350/pp. What are east-coasters points of view on flying vs. driving vs. the Autotrain. For me on Long Island, I'm close enough to JFK or Islip that...
