We listened to the album release before we could get to FL to see it live and we were THRILLED by the surprise of Fixer Upper having lyrics in the show— but I agree it should be on the recording.

Made it on the new Zootopia ride in Shanghai last week, at one point you ride through a room with the gazelle (?) singing Try Everything, and I was pleasantly reminded of the Trixie slideshow (which I find very charming and on-bear-brand, as someone who grew up with the Vacation Hoedown at DLR)...

If you measure by (short) wait to ride, Aquadunk blows all the water coasters away…then again, the attraction itself is probably less than 10 seconds… I’ve done two Caribbean sailings on Magic and never seen more than 5 people in the queue, and 3 of them were my family.

It’s possible people just value their party time? We have a reservation but I’m not certain if we’ll keep it. I worry that the party time is pretty short so I want to see the final entertainment schedule and poll the family on what they do/eat— I did CRT at MVMCP a couple years ago and regretted...

Maybe unpopular opinion to find it compelling (I love it) but Dinosaur does have a pre-show where they can force people who pay for LL’s to stand through and watch, then queue for another 5-20m after, depending on how the ride is operating. I would be surprised if Disney builds any more D/E...

I’m ok with getting most of it started immediately but want to have a second farewell trip for Dinosaur in November and ideally a 3rd one in January. 🙈 Beyond my selfish love of Dinosaur, I don’t think AK can lose another attraction before the holiday busy season.

I thought I had heard that but then more recent posts made it sound like it would be a clone. If it’s a different (ideally localized to Tropical Americas) version, I’ll be much less disappointed—and more likely to trek over to ride it once a trip.

I grew up in Los Angeles as a DLR kid, one of my friends’ dad worked on IJ and we were all so so so excited to ride it. I remember waiting in 2h lines and using a tiny sponsored translation card to read the symbols on the walls and learning all the stunts (?) you could pull while waiting in line...

I grew up at DLR with the Vacation Hoedown and would love to see the Christmas Version— we enjoy seeing Vacation Hoedown in Japan but I’m wondering how much we would lose (since much of the show is in Japanese) if we didn’t already know the dialogue. Tentatively planning a visit to TDL next...

I ended up pulling the trigger on Jollywood (not because of this post) but am setting my expectations for the show very low.

So they gave it a name and some costumes but still aren’t telling us who the skaters are, which makes me assume it’s not going to be big names. I can feel myself increasingly motivated to rationalize a Jollywood Nights visit.

Just thinking aloud here— but I bet they could use an express pass to drive higher attendance at certain parks (cough, animal kingdom, cough)— especially if it’s a once per ride situation. There aren’t enough headliners to keep people busy at MK and DHS all day if you can just walk on the rides...

Maybe? Unless fake ice has improved a lot since I last tried it, it’s going to be hard to convince Olympic champion skaters to try performing on it.
