So I cant visit the resorts now unless I have a dining reservation?

I hope that won't always be the case. At some point, I'd love to see the Carolwood Pacific room in the Boulder Ridge Villas lobby. Didn't get to last time we went, and would really love to see the cars from Walt's railroad.

It's because they're aiming for you in the firing on the fort scene.

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

This is the same analyst that initially said the parks weren’t opening at all until 2021. I usually take financial analysts with blood pressure rising grains of salt.

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

Looks like right now they're working with people who have reservations up to July 4, as far as seeing they want to modify or cancel reservations, according to Blog Mickey. Wondering how things pan out for those folks, since there won't be any Disney parks open at that point.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Like that Mad TV sketch where the main character says, "When our family gets together, we all have a huge, delicious dinner. When we have a coupon, we go to the Olive Garden!"

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

I've read this in a couple places, and it's leading me to believe that this dreaded "second wave" when the weather gets colder is turning out to be more a weaker strain of this virus.

So how does that change the data that was presented in the article?

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Then you'll have something to back up your claim that what was posted was incorrect. Here are the cold facts, folks. The US was closed longer than some businesses could handle. Things are opening back up and people are taking precautions. If you're still scared or in a condition to not be...

Do you have data or information that shows anything to the contrary? Just curious. If you're arguing the posts, then I would hope you have something to back it up.

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

That's all well and good. But why does it seem like they didn't have any kind of contingency plan in place? It's not like they're a small business just starting.

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

I don't think they were, but what's surprising me is that it doesn't seem like they truly had a contingency in place in case they could open when they announced they would. Honestly, having this information come out in little dribs and drabs tells me, in a way, that they may not have had a...

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

We’re holding on to our August booking, and we may have to add a person coming with us. I just wish there were some idea of what can and can’t be done with reservations.

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

The first trips we took in 2006 and 2008, I think the only advance reservations we worried about were the Princess meals for our daughter and that was about it. FPs were gotten at the entrance of the ride to come back at a certain timeframe, the rest of the time we ate meals near the area of...

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

Yeah. We had our trip booked for May, but when the incentive came up to book June-September with free dining, we picked August (to fit with our daughter's college semesters.) When I was talking with Mickey Travels yesterday, she said that our dining was cancelled, but would be getting the 35%.

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

Got word from the person helping us at Mickey Travels, and she said that our dining plan and reservations will be cancelled, but we'll be getting a 35% discount on the resort booking (we booked for May, had to move to August and had the free dining plan incentive at that point, which is now...

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

Kind of bummed that the free dining plan we got as incentive to move our booking from May to August is now cancelled, but we can work with that one. As long as our reservation at Art of Animation is still good in August, we'll be able to do our dining fine. We also purchased tickets as part of...

What will Disney do with FPs made during the times the parks close earlier now?

I was taking that more to mean if you had park hoppers, they may not be honored, or some of the extra tours you would normally book. They also said that now those who have reservations booked will have a chance to reserve their park days and all. I guess we’ll not really know until this all...

What will Disney do with FPs made during the times the parks close earlier now?

I don’t see the question answered in that blog post, but I had the same question. I’ll check in with WDW soon to find out anyway.
