    NBA Experience at Disney Springs

Could be interesting. http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2015/06/nba-experience-at-walt-disney-world-resort-coming-to-disney-springs/ Wonder where this will go.

Africa Marketplace expansion coming to Harambe at Disney's Animal Kingdom

I would definitely rank it higher if you consider everything that makes up Africa including the original village, theater area, this new marketplace, the safari and Pangani forest. In March, we spent nearly 3.5 hours in Africa between the lion king show, lunch at Tusker House, the safari and...

Soarin' Expansion and new Soarin' Around the World film

Not sure if the clean room story is true or not, but Soarin in DCA this past May had just as many dirt spots and scratch marks as I've seen at Epcot's in recent past. In fact, I thought it was worse, so that can't be the only reason for the film's quality at times. The semi-good news, at least...

Soarin' Expansion and new Soarin' Around the World film

I agree. No reason it needs to take that long when duplicating an existing attraction. Particularly with TSMM where the building shell is already there. These should be ready in early 2016, not late 2016. Oh well. Still hoping for TSMM addition that it is part of a larger expansion to Pixar...

Soarin' Expansion and new Soarin' Around the World film

Interesting approach to improve capacity at Epcot (and DHS with TSMM addition). These additions won't do anything to improve attendance, but should improve the guest experience. Soarin' addition actually makes sense as it loads so slowly, but a new ride would have also taken some demand off...

Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid closing for month long refurbishment Feb 2-Mar 6

Rode this afternoon. Nice little update, but the under the sea room seemed brighter than DCA's post update. For instance, the fish mobile apparatus is still visible in our version, but I don't remember seeing it at all in the DCA updated version. I also remember that in the DCA version you...

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

Update as of 3.4.2015. Cement in central hub is going in, along with lamposts, to match the new hub look. Plus the old control booths are almost all gone now.

    AVATAR land construction progress

I agree. In addition to the large grey support structure that is likely to become a floating mountain, on the right in the 2nd pic (when looking between the leaves) are reddish-brown metal supports that I suspect will become the 'roots' that hold up the other side of the floating mountain...

Update as of 3.4.2015. Pics taken from bus entering AK and over the wall by park entrance near rain forest cafe.

Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid closing for month long refurbishment Feb 2-Mar 6

Thanks for video! I hope to check it out later today. The changes may seem minor on a video, but made a huge difference in person when we rode the DCA version earlier this year. It made the under the sea room seem much bigger. Glad to see them invest in making improvements.

Is the clock ticking on the Sorcerer Mickey Hat icon at the Studios? YES!

Sort of by chance. Fantasmic was at 7pm when park closed. After Fantasmic, the rest of the family did some shopping and I noticed the crowds were clearing. We waited for a little on a bench and that pic was taken just little after 8pm.

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

We went to MK this evening for dinner and the fireworks, so booked a FP+ to try the new area. I must say it was the most pleasant fireworks watching experience of any of my visits. Not sure if they will keep the numbers as low, but it was suprisingly surreal to sit down and watch the whole...

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

If they could eliminate at least one of the poles from the fountain planters, that would make a huge difference imo. The one pole on each side has just two lights on it and is the one of the two that creates the most obstruction. The only potential saving grace is that the poles may...

    AVATAR land construction progress

Ok, three really poor quality pics (sorry), but I believe the metal structure seen here is the start of the supports for the floating mountains (pics taken near park entrance when leaving rainforest cafe)

I was at the parks yesterday (those were my pics ). Both sides had their appropriate signs up. :)

Universal Orlando Getting Bigger, Better, Wetter, Wilder

The one issue with Universal to me is that many of their rides have very similar plotlines. Of their new additions to USF, Gringotts, transformers, Simpsons and despicable me are all very similar in that they are (or feel like) simulator type rides in front of screens. In fact, Gringotts...

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

Not sure, but as of today there is a sign that says the gardens close at 8pm for fireworks viewing and there are gates that can be closed on the other entrances. Hope they keep open during the day

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

When the west side opened, the sign said Plaza Garden East Plaza at the top of the sign. It has since been fixed (but I can't figure out how to get it rotated...but here is the photo anyway)

East side is open. Few railings left to be installed, but ready for business. Attempted a panaroma:
