Which place can come closest to capturing the feeling of Disney?

Mackinaw Island is a good one. It makes me think of a real version main street USA. Especially how main street has the train station, and how if it were a real place, that would be your main mode of transportation. And on Mackinaw Island, there is the ferry terminals, which is your only mode...

Which place can come closest to capturing the feeling of Disney?

This is what I was going to say. In fact, a trip to rainforst cafe once resulted in a disney trip. Just eating dinner there was enough to get us to plan a disney trip.

Just how bad is it between christmas and New Years

If I could I totally would, in fact, I'd LOVE to go that week. However one of us is a teacher and that's when school starts.

Excitement Hampered by Fear of Flying

I had no idea so many people were afraid of flying but still fly. I travel quite often, and I guess I've just never noticed someone around me who looks deathly afraid. My favorite thing about flying now is the delta lady shaking her finger at me telling me "smoking is not allowed..." The...

However, it is WAAAAYYY more dangerous to drive.

Just how bad is it between christmas and New Years

I think this is the kind of response I was interested in. Someone who can only go during the busy times anyway. I've been there in late june, mid july, and mid august, and I found all of those times manageable. Knowing it's worse in the week of christmas, but how worse is what I'm trying to...

Excitement Hampered by Fear of Flying

The most dangerous part is driving to the airport. Drivng to Disney is WAY more dangerous than flying.

Just how bad is it between christmas and New Years

As I said before, we're expert fastpass users, so we'd never go near anything with that long of a wait without a fastpass. That was true even before kids. My wife and I went to Epcot a few years back (before kids) and our last day was on christmas day. Honestly, I didn't think it was that...

Just how bad is it between christmas and New Years

I wouldn't be going on New Years Eve. I know that's the busiest day of the year. And we wouldn't be doing parades either. And we'd have our own transportation, except of course getting back to the transportation and ticket center. We'd still be staying at a disney resort though.

Just how bad is it between christmas and New Years

Having 2 1/2 year olds, I wouldn't be doing that anyway. I'm more interested in the time between when the parks open until 7 to 8ish pm. I guess I should've specified that.

Just how bad is it between christmas and New Years

Thinking about making a trip between christmas and new years. I know it's crazy busy, but just what does that mean? Does it mean 3 hour waits for EVERYTHING? We have two 2 1/2 year olds, so we aren't doing any of the super headliner type rides. We'd be sticking to Winnie the Pooh, Spaceship...

Best age to start trips to Disney?

I agree completely, you definitely don't want your kids to get in the way of your life.

What would you want to see out of a 5th WDW park? (If there's going to be one)

Don't you know you aren't allowed to talk about certain subjects on here. And you can't ask a question without apologizing profusely for not searching every available thread just in case it's been discussed before.

The MK transit situation is becoming STUPID!

Yes..YES...OH MY GOD YES!!!!!!!! What an enormous pain. Even if you're a hotel guest, because if you want to park hop, you still have to deal with all that nonsense. I can take a bus from Epcot directly to Animal Kingdom, or MGM, or any combination of those three. But it's SUCH a pain to...

has anyone ever used this website???

I tried once. It seemed like a great deal so I filled out the paperwork, gave my credit card, but we were too close to the date for anything available. I was nervous they were just going to take my credit card number and run, but all was fine. So at least I can say they are probably...

Crazy things youve seen at Disney!

One time, I saw REAL cannonballs go flying over my head in Pirates of the Caribbean

New announcement.. "the year of we ain"t doing nothing.."

Dude...seriously. You are remembering things differently. 1971 was 40 YEARS AGO!!!! Every single piece of information contradicts what you are saying. No where will you find supporting evidence to your memory. A 14 year old has a brain that is far from fully developed. You are confusing...

New announcement.. "the year of we ain"t doing nothing.."

Serious is such a vague word. The starter of this thread believes that years ago, as part of the attraction, the temple collapsed (or something like that) in the Jungle Cruise, and that real cannon balls flew over your head in Pirates of the Caribbean. One of the best threads ever quite a...
