I actually think it makes sense. The viewing area for the galactic spectacular isn't very large so by having Fantasmic show near the same time it spreads out the crowds. Not to mention normally people are lining up and grabbing spots an hour+ earlier so even if they spread the times out once...

I also did a quick Google search and it looks like this round tubing with metal sheeting inbetween is a pretty standard construction technique for actual observatories.

I may be wrong, but I believe all the ventilation is located at the top of the building, what looks like holes and vents on the sides is where the planet Hollywood sign was attached and other items along the outside were attched(electrical boxes etc)

Even then I don't feel like that's something they would do after only a year...heck even Soundsational which isn't every day isn't "seasonal."

I have a hard time believing they are going to pack and wrap a multi million dollar parade after one year.

The vertical ribs are shown in the concept art and are attached to the center of the bracket (probably welded) the metal sheeting is placed inbetween each rib and bolted to the holes shown.

The two locations in Orlando are swamped with tourists. Not to mention that it's a good drive to either of those malls from a lot of the areas locals live.

It cracks me up that people actually think it was the same lights year after year, even when they switched to LED's a few years back. They took a knife every year and cut them down.

There's other things in that park that stand out more. Have you even ever been there?

Tower of Terror is iconic at DHS, at DCA it's just kinda there.

Future, and most current Guests(with the exception of most APs, and ultra-Disney fans) won't care because the attraction itself isn't changing, just the theme.

This is something that "most" of us Disney "fans" just don't understand or refuse to acknowledge. A large portion of guests that visit Epcot will never know that there was anything in Norway but Frozen cause they don't care, the same will be true for Breakout.
