    What did you do?

Working from the house today. I decided to take a "break" and do a quick interval workout. 5x400m with a 1:30 rest between. Paces were 8:31, 9:01, 9:06, 8:53 and 10:43. The last 400m was up the "big" hill in our neighborhood. Thus, the major drop in pace. I had wanted to keep the pace in the...

Goofy training? Post your questions, comments and advice here.

I'm no expert, as this will be my 1st Goofy. But, I would probably echo the other suggestion of training for a marathon with a few Saturday runs prior to Sunday long runs. I am going to use Higdon's marathon plan and will tweak the weekends for the last 7 or 8 weeks. I hope this will get the...

'The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-Miler Weekend'

Here's the bus schedule for Tower of Terror. A lot of people use Boardwalk for transportation. So, you may have a wait depending on their bus flow. Allow enough time from Via Napoli, in case they're a little slow with service that evening The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler...

    Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

A lot of races are going to the "iGiftBag" to cut down on paper waste.

    What did you do?

Joel, I haven't been around the boards lately. So, I don't know your injury, if there is one. But, there's a 5k/10k in Auburn on April 21. It begins at Toomer's Corner and ends on the 50 yard line of Jordan-Hare.

    Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

Those are the finisher numbers. I would imagine there's about 10-15% of the runners that are "swept" or drop due to injury

    Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

No reason not to read too much into it. runDisney and Disney Sports have confirmed on twitter that the relays for Wine & Dine and Marathon weekend will not be returning.

    Disneyland Half Marathon

I read an article on OC Register that stated the capacity for Disneyland is 17,000, up from 15,000 last year.

    Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

It may cannibalize some. I think rD's problem is the increase in the capacity of Donald. Finishers 2012 - 22,443 2011 - 21,991 2010 - 17,144 2009 - 12,451 2008 - 12,299 As you can tell by the # of finishers, rD had a MAJOR jump in the number of participants from 2009 to 2010 to 2011...

    Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

I haven't spoken to a rD rep directly. However, I plan to try next week when I am at an expo in Atlanta, if they're there. My guess on relays being discontinued is the expense and manpower needed for the exchange point.

    Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

There are a couple of reports of runDisney reps at expos saying the relay will NOT be back. Unfortunately, marketing ads are approved and submitted well in advance. All one would have to do is look at the event brochures at races last year to see runDisney likes to make changes (i.e. Wine &...

For those who have run multiple runDisney races

I have run Wine & Dine and Marathon Weekend races. The choir is at the end of the Marathon weekend races but not Wine & Dine. I'm not sure about Princess.

    What did you do?

3 miles at 9:30. It wasn't 92F, but run still felt horrible. Legs were heavy, no energy. :brick: It's what I get for getting up @ 3:00am. Oh well, I guess this means Saturday will be a good one :ROFLOL:

    What did you do?

Thanks Joel Last year was certainly muggy. But, I trained in it all summer in Alabama. So it wasn't too terrible. 8 mile run this morning. I haven't looked at the stats yet. But, I felt like I was able to go faster as the run progressed. Legs still felt pretty good at the end. Now...

    What did you do?

4 miles last night about minute per mile faster than Wednesday. :) Rest day today before tomorrow's long run, 10 miles. Next week will be an easy week as I prepare for Wine&Dine. :sohappy:

    What did you do?

Did an easy 3 miles last night. Humidity was through the roof. Coached U6 soccer game in my NB Minimus for an hour about 2 hours before the run. So, my legs weren't "fresh" Hope the humidity for Wine & Dine is a little more bearable :ROFLOL:

    Ticket question

I have a ticket question. Here's the scenario. I had a family member purchase Park Hopper passes for my wife and foster son (5) through an official source. When he went to get the tickets, they didn't have any children tickets and bought two adult tickets. Is it possible to convert one of...

    What did you do?

Mileage definitely pales in comparison to most of y'all. Did 5 easy miles this morning. Cooler weather with temps in upper 50's made for a faster time than it's been. Two weeks until Wine & Dine. Time to have fun on the course and after party.
