    The Ones I Don't Do

For me, that would be TRON and Guardians of the Galaxy. Yes, they are both new and thrilling rides but both of them left me feeling a bit of motion sickness for at least an hour afterwards. I even took Dramamine. We rode TRON early one morning (I fast fingered us for BG #1) and I couldn't...

First time at MNSSHP ,Any tips?

We did that exact same thing last month. My wife and I had tickets to the party on 9/24 and we had regular tickets to MK during the day. We dressed up as Peter Pan and Tinker Bell and we kept our costumes in a storage locker until around 3:30 that afternoon. The lockers are located to the...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Hopefully, Disney will reimburse you for your frustrations with Genie+ and that it will not sour you from coming back someday. I mentioned the MNSSHP in a previous reply to you because we had a blast that evening and Genie+ is not available during the party, thus no frustration with trying to...

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

Well, I just checked and I see the Swiss Family Treehouse only has a 5 minute wait, so all is not lost. :) My wife and I discovered an apparently not well-known secret about avoiding standing in line for Smuggler's Run the other week. We tried the single rider line and we were warned that we'd...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

As the article in that link said, "This experience is happening for multiple guests, but it seems to be inconsistent from user to user." I mentioned in my previous reply that we didn't experience any major problems with Genie+ the same week you said you were there. I also said that at...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

My wife and I were at WDW that same week. We had the 4-park, 4-day ticket special and we used Genie+ in each park. I didn't notice any major problems with it. I was able to get BG #1 on TRON and Guardians on consecutive days using my apparent magic touch, which delayed my tries with Genie+ at...

    News Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2023

My wife and I attended the MNSSHP yesterday (9/24). The crowd level was pleasantly lower than the mess we endured for the Mickey's Christmas Party in 2018. We were there from the time the park opened at 9:00am and throughout the day the crowds were not bad. We used Genie+ 5-6 times, which...

    News Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2023

I can relate. We went to Mickey's Christmas Party in 2018 and I vowed never again after that overcrowded mess. However, I've been reading that the parks are not as packed like that anymore for these special events. I will find out in 3 more days. My wife and I have tickets to the MNSSHP for...

Flying in and renting a car- who to get it from

Check out Turo. I'd never heard of them until a coworker mentioned it. The prices (for us, anyway) are way less than the big rental agencies and you don't have to stand in line to pick up your car. LOTS of makes and models to choose from. We're doing a rental thru them starting next weekend...

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

We're renting a 5 br house for $200 per night, about 14 minutes from the Magic Kingdom entrance. It was a special deal thru one of my coworkers who owns the rental house. ;)

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

I will not be one of the ones who skips Disney to go to Universal. My wife and I will be in Orlando in about a week. I bought the Disney 4 park, 4 day special for $99/day. I will also probably buy Genie+ for each of those days and maybe a few ILL. However, all that added up doesn't even come...

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

Well, 54 minutes later and Pirates is down right now. I'll be there in a week. Hoping for no major downtimes, small crowds and no hurricanes.

    News Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2023

How big is the bag that Disney gives you at the start of the party? I've heard that people should bring their own larger bag but I'll be dressed up as Peter Pan and I don't want to be carrying a large trick-or-treat bag around the park all evening.

    News Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2023

My wife and I have the 4 park, 4 day ticket special. We will be using the MK day on the 24th and we have tickets for MNSSHP that evening. Part of the bonus of doing it that way is that we will not have to endure long lines trying to get in the park at 4:00pm. We will be there from 9:00am...

    News Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2023

Woohoo - BG #1 this morning. :D I think I'm ready for the real thing on the 24th and my adventure to Neverland. I will find out soon if the MDE app published wait times are inflated.

What a contrast on the last two replies and crowds. I will find out on the 24th when we will be there and I will post my experience. I've been occasionally practicing for the TRON virtual queue and the micro second timing to get a low number. Today, I got in BG 5. ;)

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

No kidding. I'm looking at the MDE app wait times right now and I am amazed at the short wait times for some of the more popular rides throughout all the parks. I hope things are this way when we arrive in 19 days. :)

    News Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2023

Hmm...that's the date we will be there. Hopefully, the sold out crowd will not be anywhere near as bad as the MVMCP crowd we were stuck in back in 2018. According to what I read the other day in this thread, Disney has reduced the ticket sales, resulting in smaller crowds, for these events...

Perhaps less travel because they do not have the money to do so?
