Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

I stayed offsite in the summer of 1975 but I remember getting off the monorail when it paused at the Contemporary and I walked to the front desk to ask about room rates. I was told $55 per night, which was over twice the price of the hotel I was staying at in Kissimmee.

    How Does Virtual Queue Work?

There are no virtual queue rides in Galaxy's Edge or anywhere in Hollywood Studios.

News TRON Lightcycle Run Standby Line and Lighting Lane status

I'd love to be "behind the scenes" just once to see the screen that counts up the virtual queue for TRON and watch it at 7:00am. Anyone know where I could get a backstage pass for that? I'd pay generously. :)

Disney World Has Gotten Too Expensive

The Bellagio felt like a second home for a while. I don't think I'd like anything much less.

Disney World Has Gotten Too Expensive

Perhaps more and more people were going to Vegas for the low cost meals and other inexpensive things to attract people into the casinos. People like myself would go there but not gamble and I had a great time at various shows, Red Rock Canyon and more. The one and only time I ever gambled in...

News Drone test at Walt Disney World

I'd like to see something similar with It's a Small World but with softballs. Maybe hand out 3 to each rider. You'd want to do that ride early in the day.

    Magic Kingdom too crowded lately

I visited the Hawaiian Islands for the first time a few years ago. It was a surprise birthday celebration for my daughter, who was living on Oahu at the time. My wife's sister has lived on Kauai for over 40 years and I did an overnight trip to visit them. Breathtaking scenery but the cost...

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

30 seconds? The 7:00am VQ for TRON is long gone by then. There's another thread on the forum that posts how fast the daily VQ for TRON fills up. Yesterday, I believe 7:00am was filled in less than 4 seconds. You have to go by the atomic time clock (hint), not your phone or other device. I...

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

Yes, same with me. Even with taking a Dramamene before the ride I still got motion sickness. Same thing happened with GotG the next day. My body occasionally reminds me that I'm not 25 anymore. Both of those rides were a one and done for me. Kind of a shame since I got really good at the VQ...

Craziest thing happened during Guardians pre-show on Saturday..

When my wife and I rode GotG back in October we didn't notice any stampede or anything abnormal as far as crowds. However, others in this thread say it has been going on for a while. I guess I was more focused on whether or not I would get motion sickness from the ride, which I slightly did...

    Best ride at Magic Kingdom?

Although that's not really a ride (see subject title). ;)

Shadows Effect Updated On Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

That and it's a challenge for me to not grab onto anything for the duration of the ride.

    How Does Virtual Queue Work?

Also, I believe that everyone in your Family & Friends list must either be in the park or have scanned into it earlier in the day if you want to get a 1:00pm VQ for the entire group, not just you.

I don't care what anyone says, I will always love...

That's for sure. I didn't mind wearing a mask at all and the lack of crowds reminded me of the good old days at WDW back in the early 70s.

Good to go days and virtual queues?

Disney had some special ticket thing going on last summer with no park reservations required. The tickets just had to be used by the end of September. Since Disney didn't know what day we were going to show up I was able to practice and hone my virtual queue techniques back home at 7am each...

I don't care what anyone says, I will always love...

Absolutely! Ahh...the Adventurer's Club (Kungaloosh!) and the Comedy Warehouse (don't sit next to a phone on the wall). ;)

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind vs TRON Lightcycle / Run

It's a tie for me. Although exciting and intense, both left me with motion sickness for several hours afterwards. Using my special tricks I got BG #1 both times but those rides were a one and done for any future visits.

Rise of the Resistance effects status watch

I only saw the cannons slide back and forth when we went there soon after ROTR first opened and hundreds of people were standing outside of HS at 4:30am for the 8:00am opening to experience it (ahh...the good old days). It was a nice effect but I guess there's too much involved to fix it.
