Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

Although it's not officially summer until June 20. ;)

Do you have to actually be inside the park to get the 1pm virtual queue?

Keep in mind that if you are getting a VQ for a group of people they also must have scanned into the park at some time prior to 1pm, not just you. Also, the 1pm window opening duration varies quite a lot lately. Within the past week the window has closed in less than 3 seconds. Then on the...

Thrifty Car Rental - Price Difference

Before you rent from Thrifty at MCO do a quick google search and read the reviews. You may not think their cheap price is worth it after that. I was very lucky when I rented from them a few years ago but my experience was apparently not the norm. Google search "Thrifty car rental MCO" and read...

News TRON Lightcycle Run Standby Line and Lighting Lane status

Wow, what happened today? I've never seen it go that quickly for all three VQ windows. Usually, something like the 7am might last for a few seconds and then the 1pm is open for an hour or longer.

Would the virtual queues be better as a lottery?

Absolutely. For example, the VQ for TRON yesterday lasted for 2.2 seconds at 7am. The 1pm lasted for 4 minutes. The previous day 1pm VQ lasted for almost 8 hours.

Your recommendation for a good steak in the EPCOT area.

As I mentioned in another recent steak thread, I think Yachtsman is overpriced for the quality of what you get. We've dined a number of times at Shula's and have never been disappointed. I don't think it is as good as when we first went there and they'd initially bring out a menu on a football...

Which resort would you choose based on the price for my dates?

Since you included a few options outside of the Disney bubble, let me add one to your list. Pestana Orlando Suites Lake Buena Vista I stayed there last year when it was a Comfort Suites and it was quite nice for the price and close proximity to the parks. The hotel is about a year old, so...

    Steak at Walt Disney World

When we dined at Victoria and Albert's at the GF we used self-parking but there was a fee if we were not resort guests. They comped that at the restaurant. At Yachtsman's, I drove around and around for what seemed like a long time and there was not a single empty parking spot in 3 different...

    Steak at Walt Disney World

Same here. I did a bit of research to find a decent steakhouse last fall and somehow I chose Yachtsman, apparently based on some old reviews. I didn't think my ribeye was any better than what I could get at Outback for a lot less money. I won't even get into the lack of available free parking...

Question about RNR and Test Track?????

Wow, 19 year old thread revival. Anyway, there are rides that are a lot more intense than Test Track. TT didn't leave me with any pains or motion sickness, unlike some of the others throughout WDW.

News Victoria & Albert’s awarded MICHELIN Star

I was wondering why the dining area didn't seem very crowded. :D I just found my special Disney badge for that visit. It was our 34th anniversary, so that means we went there in December, 2019.

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

There are people who were willing to pay $6,000 for two nights at the Galactic Starcruiser, so there will always be a few sales at that price level.

News Victoria & Albert’s awarded MICHELIN Star

When we went in December, 2020, the total bill for the two of us was $842 and we didn't even do any wine pairings. That included tax and gratuity. Also, I think I remember it being called a 10-course dinner.

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2024

Yes, but August 9th is "only" 12 weeks before Halloween. Since Disney is doing this, don't be surprised to see the MVMCP opening dates to start in late September this year. :D

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2024

Pretty much the same experience I had, except I didn't complain to any Disney personnel. When my wife and I went to a MVMCP back around 2018 the park seemed like the crowd size doubled from what it had been during the day, long standby lines, it rained off and on throughout the evening, causing...

At opening in 1982, was EPCOT Center a "full day" park for you?

I was there the second week EPCOT had opened back in 1982. I don't remember any huge crowds but I was only going to be there for a day and so I didn't spend a lot of time in each Word Showcase pavilion. I walked around in the rain part of the day instead of staying indoors somewhere, waiting...

Tell me about Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party

We did the Christmas party a few years ago and the Halloween party last year (twice). I liked the Halloween party much better because it was not near as crowded and I got to walk around the park dressed as Peter Pan. :) I've read that in recent years the crowds aren't near as bad for the...

    Living With The Land Narration

Hmm...but if there was a live narrator you would never have a boat to yourself. There would always be at least two people. ;)

What is the best ride you have ever been on?

For me it's RotR. However, I wouldn't call it a ride, it's more like an adventure.

    Where in The World?

The markings in the bottom half look like it might be something in the RotR standby line.
