I don't see it. This is an improvement for people with longer, onsite vacations who like to preplan. That is it. It is a worse system for everyone else. It reminds me of the dinning plan defenders. Sure, a few got value out of it but most did not and it made it worse for everyone else.

Some are and some aren't, just like everyone else. In this case Perlmutter bought out Marvel when it was in financial ruin and then proceeded to drive it further into the ground. Dumb luck and desperation saved Marvel.

Same. Most of the time as soon as we got a selection that conflicted with other plans, we would just move it. If that wasn't possible, we would drop it for something else so someone else could get it. Often it would overlap just enough that we could sneak it in right before or right after...

Set aside the Bob hate for just a moment. Perlmutter was a bad businessman who made many terrible decisions. He could be 100% right about management but it would be for the wrong reasons and frankly just dumb luck that his personal vendetta happens to align with reality for once. We have TONS...

I would push back on this a bit. Yes, we all will have a system we prefer but the system that punishes all groups the least would be best from an overall park goer perceptive. This system, just like FP+ is very punishing to anyone who doesn't do longer vacations and tour the parks a particular...

Hardly. He was a terrible CEO of marvel and only blind luck saved that company. Nothing that man says should be treated as anything but BS. That he was kept on as long as he was is an indictment of Iger in my mind.

Perlmutter is a moron. There are plenty of reasons to question decisions from management, dumping him was not and is not one of them. About the only thing he has done since they took the MCU away many, many years ago is complain, whine and try and get any type of revenge he can. Well, that and...

Before this last report Comcast had hit their last 4 and yet were mostly down that whole time. Beating estimates is just part of the story. Anything with the stock this week is all about Comcasts terrible report as all the theme park operators took a hit. Cedar doesn't share any of the other...

Pretty sure they have had four close misses on revenue and beat on the last four EPS. Having said that, segment sentiment, rotation and future guidance would all be bigger factors to market reaction after the initial numbers are released in my mind. Unless you are strictly looking at revenue...

Except now you don't get a chance at that availability unless you use an early LL. That doesn't even include the extra inventory already being gone from T2s. If the various posts from today are any indication of how this is going to work, much of the MK was gone before noon and that wasn't the...

G+ had the additional burden of being the first paid system and you combine that with a lot of people having some serious rose-colored glasses about FP+ and here we are. I am willing to bet that now, with us having essentially a paid FP+, it will get even worse GS scores than before and worse...

No, it doesn't and I think this is something we all have internalized to some degree but people tend to forget. The market could care less that we don't like Bob and/or many of the choices he made. They drove the stock up the whole time he was there implementing all the things we all claim to...

Iger has done plenty I don't care for but making Universal have such amazingly bad numbers that the whole sector takes a bath is not one of them. The market is currently pricing that in expecting the same for Dis.

Interesting. So as soon as you your first expires you can change all of them?

Yep, assuming they didn't forgot to mention you need to be in the park, it looks like those of us who don't like to rope drop should now just book one T1 for when we want it (maybe a T2) and then one or two throw aways as early as possible. Let those expire and add better rides as they do. Yet...

We all know streaming has lost money. That wasn't in question but again, no money the parks earned was funneled into DMED or Entertainment (parks were/are in the DPEP/Experiences segment), which is what people keep implying. The other areas of Entertainment made more than enough to cover...

People keep saying this but I don't believe it is true. The numbers are available to see and there doesn't look to be a single year where the segment that contains streaming didn't make enough money to cover D+ losses. FY 2020: D+ launches. Covid happens and Parks lose money for the year so...

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

One, it depends on how it was suggested. Two, Disney is offering advice that may help people who haven’t been before so aren’t used to the particulars of visiting. Three, I am sure they aren’t allowed to do anything other than offer pre-approved advice which is meant to be generic and cover...

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event—Coming to Anaheim Next August

Sure, and games like Kingdom Hearts are 40-80 hours vs. 2 for a movie. So more time and more money, but still a smaller group of people who will know who characters like Sora or Riku are. Yes, but they can just make rides with those characters, they don't need KH to do it. End of the day, as...

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event—Coming to Anaheim Next August

It is. Not that Tron isn't also but, unless google is mistaken, more people went to go see Tron Legacy in the theaters (roughly 50 million) vs. series wide Kingdom Hearts game sales (roughly 36 million). Not that it matters much as they could make a great ride off of Kingdom Hearts if they...
