    SPOILER: The Acolyte -- Disney+ Star Wars -- begins June 5, 2024

I want to like Sol, but the writing for him has been very frustrating. Far too much of him saying he'll finally explain everything, only for yet another distraction to crop up to kick the can down the road. Mae's flip flopping is stupid and nonsensical. The show drags and often goes nowhere with...

News Country Bear Jamboree is getting new songs and acts

Those two classic American songs you noted don't contain any racially insensitive words and descriptions of violent battles waged against indigenous people as a part of the lyrics. You would have to get into a deeper philosophical discussion to dissect ill intent. The Battle Hymn in fact is an...

News Country Bear Jamboree is getting new songs and acts

I'll reiterate that I think that song is on its way out of the parks going forward. Yes the show only ever contained the first and third verses, which had nothing that could offend anyone. But it's the association with the other lyrics that would put it under the radar. I am not calling for...

Changes to Haunted Mansion Library Busts

At this rate, it seems more likely they'd just outright remove any reference to violent death at all in that scene. If they miraculously DO keep a violent edge to the scene, I would venture a guess that it would probably not include a noose specifically. Given certain other reasons that you may...

Changes to Haunted Mansion Library Busts

The one with the empty noose is the current one. Another new detail the modern version has is that the Phantom has glowing red lights in his eye sockets. The old one just had empty sockets.

    SPOILER: The Acolyte -- Disney+ Star Wars -- begins June 5, 2024

I think it's quite possible Sol just doesn't realize she's an imposter. It's equally plausible to me that he either doesn't suspect anything and didn't try to read her mind, or he actually can't read her mind due to her being able to block it. Most powerful and well trained force wielders can...

Changes to Haunted Mansion Library Busts

I believe it was only the tightrope unicycle figures in the finale that were permanently removed many years ago now. The other floating elements such as the balloons, flying carpets etc have all still operated intermittently in recent years. Small World at WDW was actually brought back to fairly...

Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

Both Martin and (for those who remember him as another reputable source of info) Lee said years back that the turntable would never move again. I don't know if this means that construction crews during the V2 overhaul did something to permanently damage it and prevent it from ever being repaired...

Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

The tunnel was 99% gone by 2017. They were dismantling it between 2016-2017. There's a video from 2017 where someone snuck inside and shot footage of the room. All that was left was the metallic circular entrance, nothing else. There were still a few scattered props at the time (like on the...

Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

I'm aware, but they were selling it at WDW too where it hasn't existed since the 90s. And again, they sell merch for other dead WDW attractions. One of the shops at the Grand Floridian was selling 20,000 Leagues shirts a few years back. And like I said, the audacity of this...-

News Test Track to be reimagined

I kind of hope they leave most of the queue alone. The interactive elements can get tossed out for all I care, but the overall visual style of it is quite compatible with the Epcot aesthetic and doesn't really need changing much. The primary focus and money should be on improving the actual ride.

Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

While i'm glad people seem to think he's safe, I wouldn't really count random themed merchandise as evidence of that. They sell tons of merch themed after dead attractions. Like the Mr Toad popcorn bucket. Also, didn't they have the audacity to sell pins that allegedly contained scrap pieces...

News Big Thunder Mountain to receive full retrack

I don't think the river would NEED to be drained necessarily. As far as i'm aware, they had the river filled and boats operating at least during later stages of construction in 1980 after the core foundational work was done. Might have been drained earlier on when they started, but for a retrack...

Thanks. Still doesn't matter to me regardless of how much of WOL's interiors are left or not, that pavilion has remained empty quite long enough. If the original WOL can't return and there HAS to be an IP in there, then Inside Out is the best and only choice. It's the spiritual successor to...

News Test Track to be reimagined

Know what I miss? Riding World of Motion while it was absolutely pouring outside. Not even kidding or trying to be a smart*** either, one of my absolute most vivid memories of EPCOT Center as a kid was running over to the ride during a summer deluge, then getting on and looking out over the...

News Big Thunder Mountain to receive full retrack

Universal are not only faster and capable of producing products that can match or surpass Disney's current fare when they put the effort in (not that they always do of course, but then again neither does Disney itself), they are also able to get things done on a much smaller budget than Disney...
