News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

Clearly I'm wrong here. TouringPlans has rankings that have Fast Food Boulevard as pretty bad. My go to was the waffle/chicken sandwich and it's been several years since I've been there. https://touringplans.com/universal-orlando/dining/ratings

They may not have been the best examples either because when we point to poor IP integration, people generally don't point to those two. Those are absolutely fine additions for where they are.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but as far as I've heard, the consensus review of Fast Food Boulevard is positive.

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

The biggest success of The Simpsons is Fast Food Boulevard. The ride is mediocre at best. I would welcome an Animation [Food] Courtyard that features Moe's, Bob's Burgers and The Clam.

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

This is one of the biggest problems with the IP mandate. Disney absolutely learned the wrong lessons from Harry Potter's success. Simply put, not all lands lend themselves to the full IP integration. Personally, the simplified bright color aesthetic of the Simpsons, Toy Story, Super Nintendo and...

    Lightning Lane Premier Pass

@lentesta likes to break down surveys on his podcast, and one of the things he's discussed quite frequently are the income brackets Disney uses in this surveys. They're not equal based on range, but more likely equal based on % of guests. My guess is that this is a play for the 2nd and 3rd...

    Lightning Lane Premier Pass

I truly think this will have minimal impact on the average guest. No more than your average VIP tour does. The variable is obviously how many they end up selling per day. I wouldn't be surprised if this is essentially back filling the previously used DAS capacity, now with a price point.

    Lightning Lane Premier Pass

I imagine the crossover is already there anyways. With that said, if it doesn't sell exclusively to that level then they'll open it up. Simple as that.

    Lightning Lane Premier Pass

I'm guessing the internal sales pitch is we need to "bridge the gap" between traditional Lightning Lane and VIP tours. If we can offer the primary perk of the VIP tour without a tour guide, let's do that.

News Big Thunder Mountain to receive full retrack

The Thunder Mountain page has been updated to reflect the closure, but nothing on Tom Sawyer Island or the Riverboat, that's a little surprising.

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

We did an armchair Imagineering episode on our show about this topic. My suggestion that I do think is actually viable is a Muppets takeover of Sci Fi Dine-In and the taphouse. It puts the Muppets behind a pay wall, but gives them an in park presence.

Muppets vs. Animation Courtyard. I suspect that if it ultimately goes into Animation Courtyard that probably only buys Muppets 5 more years. They are clearly looking to re-develop that space.

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

By all accounts Frozen Ever After in Hong Kong (and soon to be Paris) still has an extra minute and depth to the scenes that EPCOT doesn't have. With that said, the updated ride was rendered antiquated almost immediately when Tokyo opened. Bringing this back to Monstropolis, my suspicion is...

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

I'm sure that's the only viable reason it's being considered. If Skeleton Crew is a Mandelorian Level Hit than it will get a park presence.

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

I'll put money on the line that Villains land gets built. It could take until 2031, but it will get built with at least two attractions. I'm still waiting for Jay Rasulo's promise to let us watch Cinderella change into her dress.

    Marvel on the chopping block?

So Tom has put this out there. There was some conversation about this in the Monstropolis thread on the main forum, but it appears those posts have been deleted, likely to keep things on topic. I spoke with Tom at the D23 Expo and he mentioned this to me. I asked around and it does seem like...
