News Villains Land Announced for Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

This is... a very good idea actually. It would be a net benefit to both parks. I am assuming there will be a path to Villains from Fantasyland (there is no way such a popular future land will be a dead end, and making another entrance by big thunder isn't really efficient when one will be right...

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Hadn't thought of it before, but a Villains stop makes a lot of sense. Biggest thing is the cost of adding a new station, which obviously could hold it back, and honestly the direction of the RR. Would actually make more sense to have one if the RR ran counterclockwise, as the walk from...

News Villains Land Announced for Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

Think that there will likely be something there, as the rest of the area is simply too small for a land with 2 major attractions, though most likely a show building(s) that can still operate when the fireworks show is going.

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

I feel like Star Tours is very safe, despite my memory being that the initial speculation it would go away in both parks with Galaxy's Edge. It has not only endured, but thrived with nearly yearly additions to the ride. The technology isn't as thrilling when it first debuted, but it is a...

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

I really like Dinosaur, but the Indy and overall retheme makes a lot of sense. Dinoland doesn't really fit in with the rest of the park (which is my favorite designed of all WDW parks). I would love in the future to have a big budget dinosaur land back in AK, but that likely requires a...

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

Hopefully they do build the playground no matter where it is, but unsure where that would go. MV is a pretty big building (over 20k sq ft) so if they do tear it down, there would have a lot of space so it could be there. The two pieces of concept art definitely conflict with each other and don't...

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

I would think putting it in Muppets Courtyard would allow them to keep the MV building (it would cost a lot to tear down and rebuild something there, it also doesn't make sense to rebuild a coaster show building since it would likely tower over the lower GE rockwork in that corner) I don't think...

Saw it twice last time as a filler between reservations, and both times was 3/4 full during a not so busy time of year.

I do think there will be a pretty significant attempt to create a new berm for this with trees and a trench. It certainly hurts the sightlines the most from LS since it is attempting to tie-in more with Big Thunder's aesthetic.

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

I would bet it operates a decent amount but not particularly close to max capacity. I would agree that Monster's is likely gonna draw in more than any gain in actual capacity. Which is why AC is the best place for it, you will certainly gain real capacity. I really think this is the wrong way...

Yeah, definitely possible to start construction on the attraction first . Though that would be close to the exit of MV (assuming the studio store is being used for a portion of the queue).

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

What do we think re: capacity? Vekoma's Family Suspended model has 650 per hour capacity (assuming 2 train ops at 20 seats per train). This looks like it will have 2 dual loading stations (only one track through the attraction though). That being said with enough block breaks you probably could...

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Yeah, I think ultimately that will be the case. keep some of ROA as a buffer from Big Thunder to Villains and keep Baig Thunder's waterfront intact. Obviously Villains will have an entrance from LS/Cars Frontierland, but I would also assume they are going to find a way from Fantasyland as well...

Yeah Iger is more than willing to spend big money on parks or acquisitions. It just has to be a proven franchise that will bring guaranteed ROI in the worst case.

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Excellent draw-up. I think it will end up being somewhat similar to this, just eliminating the east side of ROA as well (the "river" will likely remain near Big Thunder to the current outlet IMO). The problem with this is that it is only approx. 7 acres for villains, which would be quite small...

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

The biggest knock against Muppets is that there is no way it won't impact the service road, and a coaster building could be visible from Galaxy's Edge. In the attached picture , even if we are thinking it is a small coaster building (this is approx. the size of the main building for the...

This clearly would have made the most sense if they didn't want to expand past the RR tracks. You can keep a heavily shortened river, keep the island (or make it a peninsula) and retheme it while you are there. It would still necessitate docking the boat but at least you would have the LB there.

It is funny to describe WDI as a secretive cabal who make decisions about what stays and what dies.
