News Phil Holmes Retiring in August

If the Operations area managers have power over Maintenance when it comes to a lot of factors when it should be vice versa, it's well within the realm of reason for a park VP to have that kind of power.

News Phil Holmes Retiring in August

As someone who worked an MK attraction during his tenure, where I and a few others said hi to him when he went into our attraction, he literally said the words, "You do not speak unless spoken to." He is directly responsible for lots of mismanagement throughout the park during his tenure that...

News Phil Holmes Retiring in August

Goodbye, Skeletor... As much as I'm thankful for the second bit, but as for the first...lots of CM's would like to say otherwise. The portrait in New Fantasyland should say everything.

What's Still On and What's Now Off

Largest park + lack of CRP's that make the back half of the park closed + probably no fireworks + half of it is under construction + lack of attendance anyways due to construction = The park with the least amount of offerings, ergo the easiest to cut out. Those are good points.

What's Still On and What's Now Off

It wouldn't close down, no, but lots of force extensions would've happened. I remember during the Test and Adjust for FEA, they had CM's from other attractions throughout Future World to help out, but soft openings could not happen until the Norwegian CRP's were trained because the contract...

What's Still On and What's Now Off

I didn't think that would be possible, but with this current landscape, anything is fair game. There's so many variables at play with Epcot that is just makes one giant question mark.

Disney College Program for Fall Advantage Cancelled

It's very possible. I could also see it as a way of preventing any infection coming from any other part of the country should it reoccur in the fall.

What's Still On and What's Now Off

Largely, nothing. This is a good thing for FT's and PT's so they can have hours. As for killing the Cultural Representative Program....that news doesn't bode well for Epcot, especially with how certain pavilions have regulations that only CRP's can work those pavilions (Norway is one of them).

Disney College Program for Fall Advantage Cancelled

They are cheap labor, but if there's still a major components to keeping hours flat for FT's and PT's. I don't see any CP's coming back until January if they chose to close down the Fall Advantage program. If the threat of the virus recurring in the fall is too strong and it DOES happen, to send...

Disney College Program for Fall Advantage Cancelled

Yes, the DCP makes up a large number of frontline CM's, but this is actually a very good thing for FT and PT CM's. That means that hours will be able to be distributed much more evenly once the parks reopen.

Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway confirmed

It's almost more than likely that it's because of (SPOILER) how the train cars separate, go into different rooms at one point and then come back together (yes, Rat does the same thing, but we're talking about separation of rooms versus separation of alcoves). Rat will almost likely have the...

Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway confirmed

Not going to say much on the subject, but let's just say Operations has all their eyes on Rise, while none of the opening team has gotten trained or even inside the building with only a skeleton test and adjust crew who has, and yet we're two months away from opening...

News Epcot Forever to debut as interim show before full Reflections of Earth replacement

I watched it live near the Canada pavilion. I personally loved every second of it until it hit A Whole New World. It completely made everything go off the rails, into a giant dumpster fire and into a vat of acid. As everyone else has been mentioning, it really did feel like a massive slap in...

News Star Wars Galaxy's Edge Disney's Hollywood Studios opening date

Many Bothans died to bring this information.... So, after talking with my insiders, WDI have planned ROTR to be opened later than the rest of the land for a while now. After having lots of problems, they knew they wouldn’t make the target date. The land opening way ahead of schedule was almost...

    Different way of handling queues?

So, firstly, yes, getting rid of FP entirely for GE would be the best way to solve this situation regarding queuing. Let's get that out of the way. The way queuing gets supremely worse with FP is because of the merging of two separate lines and having a ratio that dictates FP going majority...

News Spaceship Earth Refurb - 2 Year Closure

There's a specialized crane in the room with the wooly mammoth projection. That's the only point where they can install and remove vehicles because an elevator access point is right there. It actually takes a few hours at a time. It's a very intensive process.
