I think that comes from DL being "Walt's park" and being the original...it always seems to get preferential treatment over its sister...even though WDW has a lot bigger load to carry.

I can see where you're coming from and actually in that respect, I agree. DHS' SWL will be a more jarring transition than DLR's...but that's probably as far as I wanna peel back this can o' worms. :)

So...what you're really doing is comparing the merits of So Cal to that of Orlando. In which case, sure, there's a ton more to do in So Cal than there is in Orlando. If you planned a 5 day trip to So Cal, you could hit the parks a few days and then fill the rest of the time with other local...

Actually, I'm pretty sure people DO fly to California specifically to go to Disneyland. That's why they have a shuttle service at LAX. Also, lol, no one plops down hundreds or even thousands of dollars to fly to California for weather.

To each his own on DCA. I just can't imagine someone making a trip to California just to specifically experience anything at DCA. Unlike Epcot or DAK. My domestic park's ranking: -Epcot -DL -DAK -MK -DHS -DCA

My only reason to compare them is that I don't really feel like (currently) they add much to either resort (minus DHS' TOT). That will change as more is added.

But DCA is just so throw-away like DHS (currently), so I'm more comparing one park to 3, plus 2 water parks, and attached shopping district.
