What WDW resort would you never stay at and why?

I guess I can't say "Never" but I'm not a fan of the Caribbean Beach. Nothing wrong with it, I'm just not a fan of the overly pastel colors and theme. However, if it was the last room on property.....

I'm A Believer: The New System Works

this....as July/August guests only, I can attest to this. And maybe that is skewing my opinion of it.

I'm A Believer: The New System Works

I don't disagree....but at least if I needed to move a park day for whatever reason, I could be there at rope drop and claim the FP I wanted. Under this system, I have zero wiggle room and I'm at the park the day I book come heck or high water. again...it really only comes into play when there...

I'm A Believer: The New System Works

this is what DL is going to be implementing. I'll stand up for the naysayers and say that i'm still not in love with the system. My biggest grip is that it removes all spontaneity for the trip. Now, not only is all of my dining planned far in advance of me stepping foot on property, but now may...

    Surprising my wife

for my wife's 40th I did bunch of things, some you already touched on as no-go's like the fireworks cruise, but: • Photography session: I hired a professional photographer to meet us at the Boardwalk and we had a few hour photoshoot session, us and the kids. Photos came out great and were a huge...

    Memory Maker

instead of making a new thread, can I piggy back this one? we have the Gold AP and as with all APs MM comes with it. However, nothing in MDE is linked? I called a fairy Godmother at WDW and they said I don't have to do anything, b/c of the AP's MM is already linked. OK, so what happens next...

    Resort to Resort Travel Options

I find myself using taxis more and more around property. Nothing against the transportation system, I think its a great perk for being on property.....but sometimes I just don't feel like waiting, or jamming into a crowded bus, esp with 2 strollers and all that junk in tow.

    Skipping A Year...or Two..

nope...going every year. My kids are young and in Princess and Pirate mode for only so long. I can overlook the negatives as long as they are enjoying it. Not being a disney apologist, but as long as i'm having fun with them, then its worth it to us. Once they are a little older, we will...

    Resort to Resort Travel Options

IMO take a taxi or Uber directly to Polly. it'll cost less then $15 and it will cut out the whole need for the resort monorail. You are going around the lake, just to go back around again—the buses drop off on the opposite side of the lake, then you are at the mercy of the monorail to get back...

Extended operating hours for Disney's Animal Kingdom now available

I'm very excited to see what this park looks like at night. Its amazing in the day, I can only imagine. They are adding a few entertainment options throughout the lands that will hold people for a bit, but (selfishly) I'm hoping that a bunch of people still feel like this is a 1/2-3/4 day park...

I'll hand the bladder to the guy in the Grey Goose slushy stand over in France and just say "Fill'er up!"

Would you be a cast member after you retire?

when I was a College program CM at Pecos Bill's there was a great retired couple who worked together there in the kitchen. He was a retired PO, she a retired teacher from somewhere up north. They always worked the same shift together. At the time (not sure if it is or still true) WDW was...

Camelbak or other water vests in the parks

Does anyone here wear these in the parks? I see a few of them, esp in the summer times when we go. A local sporting goods place by me is going out of business and have a few on sale—Geigerrig Cadence w/ 50 oz bladder to be exact. I was thinking about picking it up for my next trip in august...
