Rumor: Details on Disney's Hollywood Adventure

Wouldn't they want a lot of things to be done by the 50th though?

Rumor: Details on Disney's Hollywood Adventure

So if Disneyland gets Star Wars first, and Disney waits to see what happens over there before making decisions about WDW...that means it's another few years until we find out anything substantial about WDW? If it's going to take so long, then why close so many attractions so soon?

The Magic Of Disney Animation closing?

I'd be curious to see how they'd do that since directly behind the Animation building is the main cafeteria for Cast Members, not to mention the backside of Sunset Ranch.

Rumor: Details on Disney's Hollywood Adventure

Yes, I'm well aware of that. But just because it's a project that likely won't be completed until WDW's 50th, that doesn't mean they can't announce something other than a name change and promised "big plans" at D23. Especially if they reveal more major plans for DLR.

Rumor: Details on Disney's Hollywood Adventure

It's not that...I guess I just got too excited that with Animation and One Man's Dream closing, leaving so much of DHS empty that we were closer to an actual announcement. Lesson learned. I just won't get my hopes up anymore.

Rumor: Details on Disney's Hollywood Adventure

So because it's in California, they can't talk about anything major happening in Florida?

Rumor: Details on Disney's Hollywood Adventure

So Disneyland gets the massive DCA refurb, a new parade and fireworks for its 60th, plus other attraction updates and Star Wars first, while WDW gets a half shut down Hollywood Studios and just promises of a massive upgrade 5-6 years down the road? Ugh. Excuse me if I can't just enjoy the ride...

Rumor: Details on Disney's Hollywood Adventure

Ok, but haven't they been building up the bigger Star Wars presence in the domestic parks for years now? Basically what you're saying is Disney will continue to close everything at DHS but build something new at DLR first because they have no final plans yet?

Rumor: Details on Disney's Hollywood Adventure

I know I literally just commented above, but can someone explain why that is? Why is most of the attention going to be on California? Because it's having its 60th this year? I mean..by the time D23 comes around, isn't half of DHS is basically going to be closed? Why continue hyping "big things"...

Rumor: Details on Disney's Hollywood Adventure

I'm skeptical about this all being true...but why is an announcement at D23 more likely to be about DLR than WDW? Wasn't New Fantasyland first announced at D23? And, this is going to sound selfish but if they DO announce something about DLR at D23 and not WDW, I'm going to be pretty peeved...

Disney's Animal Kingdom to test access to The Oasis before park opening

I love this idea if people would actually take in the Oasis area and enjoy the animals but like everybody else said, they're just going to go straight for the rope. However, the last time I went to DAK in the morning, I got there shortly after 9 and it was close to 9:30 before I got through...

Creature Comforts at Disney's Animal Kingdom to become Starbucks

I think it looks really well done. I think this one and the one at Studios appear to be better themed than MK and Epcot's Starbucks locations.

Is the clock ticking on the Sorcerer Mickey Hat icon at the Studios? YES!

Wait...what? They're building a stage between RNRC and ToT? While I was at Disney before they put the screen up on the stage, even with it, the view down Hollywood Boulevard still looks MUCH better than with the hat.

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

Thank you for this. I was sitting in the west garden, went to get food at Casey's, and when I came back, I saw a bunch of people in business attire in the area and was wondering what they were up to. I saw them holding some boards but only from the back.

New Center Stage at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Exactly. Especially during Star Wars Weekends when it's so so hot that you'd rather be inside.

New Center Stage at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Yes, I know, and that is disappointing. With all the empty buildings at DHS, I feel like they could do some of the stage stuff inside. Why take away a great view? Hopefully it's something that's a little bit lower than the one that blocked the hat so at least you get a good view from the end of...

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

Personally, I see nothing wrong with people sitting/laying on the astroturf during the daytime and if Disney didn't want people to do that, they would have put gates or fences around it to keep people out except for around Wishes. And honestly, isn't it better if they're there than sitting on...

New Center Stage at Disney's Hollywood Studios

I don't mind the stage in front of the castle at MK so if they do something similar at Studios, I'll be fine, even if I do prefer the old view before the Sorcerer's hat went up. However, if that temporary stage is up when I'm down there at the end of April and I don't get to see the view of GMR...

Walt Disney World Resort agrees multi-year sponsorship deal with new MLS team Orlando City Soccer

That's pretty much the same as in Milwaukee. When my family first started going to games in the 90s-early 2000s, the Wave would regulary get 7-8,000 at their games. The league finals in 2000 and I believe 2002 were nearly sellouts with 15,000+ people. It was amazing. I know they're all online...
