There were rumors it was returning in some way shape or form for the 70th, but those plans could have changed.

If they have other stuff planned for the 70th it might not be necessary to save the dragons debut. IMO Paint The Night returning would be a major draw for the 70th. Now in the unlikely event MSEP was brought back instead of Paint or no nighttime parade at all, then I could see why the dragon...

That would be awesome. Something else I think would be cool to see is FoF at night with the new route lighting, like during a special event or maybe DAH.

Yeah definitely. That’s when it sounds like they will begin installing the new route lighting. New pavement has not been rumored, at least I don’t think, so we are just guessing. But it would be the best opportunity to do it before they are dealing with two parades.

They would have to wait till January definitely then I guess either cut FoF performances or shorten it so it could travel around the hub.

Don’t know about FoF but if they were going to do any repaving or whatever now would be the time before Starlight debuts.

Well, I would say I doubt they would remove the Trolly and Tracks, but after the plans for Frontierland… 🤷‍♂️. In the event it ever does happen I would like to see them switch to the bricks that Hong Kong has.

You might be right. Not sure how they would be able to wire the Dreaming Up float or remove the face on the moon.

Lol well apparently they plan to convert the Peter Pan Dreaming Up float so I guess it might not be out of the realm of possibility. Not sure how popular Brave is now a days compared to other IP? I hope the Starlight floats won’t just be daytime looking floats with some lights thrown on them...

Well if that is true then that is strange for them to repaint a float that they no longer plan to use.

I like it! From the video anyway these lights appear to light up just the buildings morso than the street like DLs lighting does. Pretty much what MK already does for the seasonal parties. Hopefully this is the plan for Starlight.

I was just watching a video of Hong Kong’s Halloween Cavalcade and noticed they now have moving lighting that pop up on top of the buildings. At 1:40 in this video. These must have been upgraded post PTN because I do not remember moving lights. Maybe this is what MK will be getting?

Dreamlights used to have smaller floats. Wishful thinking some of them survived and WDW purchased them for Starlight.

You are right many would be opposed to this but perhaps they could do it in a different way like add them to or update the Main Street building lights, install permanent lights to the castle, add color changing lights to the trees in Frontierland. Oh and not related to Starlight but still hoping...

I wonder if they will be replacing the hub light polls as well or if this is more of an expansion with the same towers?

Anxious to see what they plan on doing. Are you aware if this is being done strictly for Starlight? Or just a general park lighting upgrade for multiple purposes?
