We've done exactly the same and as far as I am aware - yes, you can 'check in' as early as you like, get your room key/express pass and head into the parks ....though your room won't be ready till later. Then on check-out day ....the passes should still work till the parks close x

We too have a big family trip planned ... in August .... flying from Manchester, on AA ... into Tampa ...BUT ... we fly home on 18th so we'll pass you mid-air with our sad faces on! We've been visiting regularly since 1988 when I was just 10 yrs old ... so I have a 'special' birthday this year...
