Tokyo Disney Sea is by far the closest, it gets about 85% of Tokyo DLs attendance, that’s compared to about 50-65% of DL/MK attendance for the secondary US parks. I don’t think the secondary US parks will ever get to 85% but if they could get even 75% of the castle park visitors to also visit...

This is our plan for next year, we’re letting our keys go and we’ll just go once or twice next year and pay out of pocket. I think the passes are still a good deal for locals but for out of state people it’s getting very hard to justify the cost, the price of the keys have gone up...

I agree the focus should be on updating and replacing existing areas but if I ran Disney I’d be placing most my efforts into trying to get more people to visit HS, AK, EP, and DCA rather than trying to pull more people into DL and MK, the paths, viewing areas, etc are often packed like sardines...

DLP opened the Indy coaster about 1.5 years after opening and opened Space Mtn about 3 years after opening, prior to SM it never pulled enough guests to make a profit. WDW is but MK isn’t, that’s the problem for Disney, whether it’s EP, AK, HS, DCA, the Studio Park, etc they’ve never come up...

Before Disney built theme parks at them Anaheim was orange groves and Orlando was a swamp, neither had any visitors, they were both in areas that would be easy for visitors to get to though. Wherever Disney builds will become a travel destination. I think it has to be a fully fledged park...

I don’t think anyone hopes Pixar closes, we just see a lot of financial reasons to combine the 2 individual campuses into one. There would still be Pixar and there would still be Disney Animation, they’d just be under one roof which would save tens of millions of dollars a year in overhead...

I think most conditions have an exponentially increasing risk. In a 10 minute line (or ride) the risk of an issue is very low, say 5%. In a 20 minute line it’s still relatively low, but doubles to say a 10% chance of an issue. By 30 minutes you’re now doubled again to a 20% risk, at 40...

This frustrates me beyond words, had they just built rides rather than spending billions on mymagic and line schemes we’d all be better off. Disney needs more capacity, instead we got schemes to monetize their lack of capacity.

I think they were just be cautious, I saw video of the Nolichucky (?) dam with insane amounts of water flowing over the top of the dam and the surrounding embankments, thankfully it survived but dams aren’t designed for that. Once the spillways and overflows are at capacity there’s a real risk...

When we saw it in person a few weeks ago we said the same thing, our “barn” looks so much better with the yellow and green trim vs WDWs yellow, brown trim, and their murals. I still prefer their side by side seating though, and their view of the castle from the ride is incredible.

The cruise was expensive but only about half that price for 5 days, the major difference is once we’re on the cruise the only thing we’ll be paying extra for is alcohol, coffee, and maybe some souvenirs. No waking up at 7am hoping to get a VQ, no micro transactions if we want to skip a line...
