I’m starting to wonder if we’re just old fashioned in our logic, I loathe the Spirit airlines business model but it unfortunately seems to be the way the world is going, maybe the younger generations prefer the option of a no frills base price and then adding one add on at a time until they get...

This is why I don’t understand Disney logic, they are so focused on add on sales they don’t seem worried about losing guests, it was speculated that the hotels were around 80% capacity this year, that’s an average loss of probably $300 a night per room, plus hundreds in lost food, drink, and...

I’d have continued to adjust ticket prices based on demand, we’ve all complained about rising ticket prices for years but at least you still got an amazing product for your money, this approach worked for 60 years, now it just feels like you are getting less for your money and being nickel and...

I had a similar thought, Disney seems to have shifted focus from providing the best experience possible to providing just bad enough of an experience we’ll spend more money. Agree, if they had added this to the old FP system I don’t think anyone would care, we may even be celebrating another...

I don’t think that’s ever happening, they make way too much money of LL to abandon it now. I think they’ll just continuously raise the price until normal LL is $100 a person, the new premium is $500 a person, and VIP tours are $5k… which I’d honestly prefer to the current system, the fewer...

I don’t think anyone is saying WDW isn’t still an awesome vacation, it is, it’s just hard not to compare it to the past, especially from a value perspective. I’m as hostile towards Disneys recent decisions as (nearly) anyone but we still love to vacation at the parks, we just can’t justify...

Location is definitely a huge factor on how comparable prices are, our first trip to Paris was a result of how expensive flights to Orlando were at the time, we were planning a trip to WDW and flights were $500 a person rt, flights to Paris were $700 rt, made for an easy choice, if you are close...

I’d actually consider this if it was offered to moderates, which is probably why Disney is only offering it to deluxe resorts, they don’t want the people currently paying big bucks for the deluxe resorts to stay at a cheaper resort and use the savings to buy premium LL. The flip side of that is...

The irony is the mythical family in Colorado Disney talks about is the one most likely to choose to go to Europe rather than Disney, the “undesirable” locals are the ones most likely to keep going to Disney because it’s close and an easy trip for them. If Disney is trying to make the vacation...

We fall into this category also, we aren’t willing to waste (for a lack of a better term) money just because we have a bunch sitting in the bank. For us Disney has become an opportunity cost problem, we can afford all of it but we find it harder and harder to justify going to Disney rather than...

Business class vs economy has been around forever but this new model of basic economy, economy, economy plus, business, and lay flat first class is pretty recent, as is charging extra for carry ons, seat selection, food, drinks, boarding priority, and anything else they can monetize. I wish...

Disney has fully embraced the budget airline business model, it’s amazing how quickly they’ve gone from being the best, highest service, all inclusive, airline to becoming Spirit. Do they not realize most people avoid these airlines like the plague because they loathe the nickel and diming?

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

Still don’t like the murals but I’d give DLs “look” a 9/10 vs probably a 6/10 for WDW.

Maybe, I have no idea what the story of this ride is anymore. It’s a salt mine, a co-op, a ride through the bayou looking for musical animals, it’s such a hodgepodge of ideas that kids drawings on the walls makes as much sense as the rest of it. With all the backstories I’m actually impressed...

Still not a fan but at least they look complete, WDWs looks unfinished to me, randomly ending a couple feet from the edges. I don’t hate it like I do the mural at WDW… I guess that’s a win for modern WDI.

The first thing I thought of when I saw the murals was the tunnel walls of our airport… which are covered in drawings from local elementary school children. I know art is subjective but it’s funny we’re all getting grade school art vibes from this.

News Tiana’s Palace Coming to Disneyland Later this Year

We ate there shortly after it reopened and we thought both the interior and exterior were an upgrade over French Market, we also found the menu far more exciting… unfortunately both our dishes were just bad, I had the shrimp and grits and found it flavorless and my Gf had the gumbo and it was so...

I agree… but I think both would look better with a blank wall. I think DLs ride looks a lot better overall than WDWs, the only thing I don’t like about it is the mural, I haven’t seen it in person though so I’m curious to see if I’ll like it better in person.

    Bye Bye Disney +

Even at the new price we plan on keeping it unless/until they crack down on subscription sharing. Between my GF and I we find there’s enough to watch to justify the price, if they ever limit it to one household though I’ll cancel, I don’t watch enough personally for how expensive it’s become...

I was trying to think of “classic” Uni rides and I can’t think of anything that has the same nostalgia factor of Pirates, Mansion, Space, etc at Disney, I think the closest would have been Jaws and they already tore that out. My second thought was maybe Jurassic Park but they’ve already...
