News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Maintenance generally occurs as scheduled regardless of what projects may or may not be coming down the pipeline. We have seen new carpets installed in buildings that were torn down a few months later.

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

It should be an issue. It is of course an important part of the show in Frontierland and Liberty Square, but if something costs a ton to mechanically maintain as a functioning ride, there should also be an ops-related reason to maintain it. That doesn't mean you have to nix it, but you need to...

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

It is functionally the same as if the passengers were in a standby queue, also unable to purchase merchandise. It’s the few VQ-only attractions that have the effect you’re speaking of, not the ones that maintain healthy standbys alongside LL options.

News Villains Land Announced for Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

Agreed. I’m more inclined to believe that phase 1 will dead end, with phase 2 planned to complete a secondary loop farther west. I don’t think there will be a Fantasyland connection unless they do some major rework of the tourney tent alley down the road.

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

You can literally just put “Disney Liberty Belle capacity” into Google and get an info card with the stats without having to click into anything.

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Uh, aren't most of the carousels tied to an IP? They're generally either themed to the host castle (Cinderella, Prince Charming) or King Arthur to tie into the Sword in the Stone, which is usually nearby. I think Shanghai's is Fantasia. Some rely less on the source IP and more on the surrounding...

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

They announce early because they can monetize their announcements with D23.

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

They just announce everything earlier, which makes it look less stable when it’s probably the same amount of stable. 🤷🏻‍♂️

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

While I don’t want Small World to die, it kind of should move, IMO. Tangled makes too much sense nestled between its restrooms and the German-named Village Haus. Small World, meanwhile, has plenty of more sensible places it could go. It could replace the Speedway utilizing the white clockwork...

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

I’d argue Snow White is one of the few that really does hold up well, and it could hold up even better with a handful of figure, effect, and audio upgrades. I think you have to look at it from the perspective of it being a C-ticket (not totally sure if that’s what it was historically?) and...

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

On the restaurant front, one assumes Monsters will have at least one. If they do a QS Harryhausen's and kill Mama Melrose's for attraction space, they could always offset that by finally opening the promised TS restaurant in Galaxy's Edge.

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Does emerging once every fortnight to curse the locals of Orlando renew the seal on some ancient god you and your ancestors have been maintaining since antiquity or something?

Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

This. Figment is kind of embarrassing and blah, but Spaceship Earth is the park’s icon and thesis statement. It also needs extensive mechanical work, not just a narrative overhaul. Ideally, both would happen ASAP, but SSE definitely has first dibs in my book.

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

I’m with you on this. Just the shimmer-effect fiber optics would be fine, no show sync necessary. They could even be warm white 100% of the time. Regardless, it needed to be fixed, like, ages ago. Embarrassing that it’s gone on this long.

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Three of those projects were COVID cancellations and the other had land suitability issues, so I'm not sure what they have to do with the Cars proposal, which has no similar known issues. It's just fans complaining, as they have done with literally every project for at least the past quarter...

News Test Track to be reimagined

I’ve never even liked the WoM facade that much, but it already looks many times better without the canopy. Hopefully the new entry looks great when complete.

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Of course. But what’s happening is happening, and it’s okay (and not inherently inconsistent) for people to weigh the losses and benefits differently.

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

It is the one area in the parks themed to something that people are culturally programmed to avoid. Yes, it’s tongue-in-cheek about it, but it’s not a mystery as to why people might be excited about a different option for the space.

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

You’re combining a ton of different opinions from a wide range of people to make it sound like everyone who doesn’t share your level of negativity is an inconsistent Disney devotee with poor taste and no thematic literacy. Yes, some people defend everything, but others are more deeply concerned...

News Walt Disney World casting for a new experience celebrating Encanto

I wish they’d use this space for, like, Festival-related music that actually fits the vibe of the hub. The America Gardens Theatre already exists for Broadway-adjacent stuff. Put something chill in CommuniCore.
