Universal Puts Disney's Reopening on Defensive

Yes thats been explained a gajillion times- it was a joke. And the porous neck gaiters and many cloth masks don’t stop the cloud anyway. Assuming again 100% infected people always walking around

Universal Puts Disney's Reopening on Defensive

And per our server at NBC Grille last week they (that restaurant anyway although she said everyone has a universal ID) paid the crew the same hours they were originally scheduled when Orlando suddenly had the curfew and had to close hours early. Why? Aren’t the masks to supposed to be so...

    Disney Springs Mask Enforcement

And masks are NOT equal in protection and those loose weave neck gaiters are next to useless. Cover your mouth when sneeze or cough does same thing for the “large” drop, etc everyone is so worried about hovering in air for hours (they actually drop quick) and doesn’t nothing to stop smaller virus...

    Disney Springs Mask Enforcement

And if Sneezer is INFECTIOUS! Why is this part always left out? If 10-25% of population infectious per positivity rate then the risk drops lower as 100% of population isn’t 100% highly infectious 100% of time never ending!

    June 6 trip report

Was there Tuesday and still low crowds, walked on everything with very little or no wait at all, including Hagrids in am. Didn’t use VQ for anything. Was there at gate to IOA at 8:15-getting through security was a breeze, as was parking. Mask wasn’t as too bad til later in day when sun started...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

We were there Tuesday (masks and all, figured I can’t complain about something I haven’t actually tried). We did both parks, most rides-including an hour lunch at Mythos- and we were out of the parks by 5:30, getting there before opening. Calm walk to Hagrids and basically didn’t stop walking...

conversely “I can’t see the virus so it must be everywhere lying in wait to infect meeeee!” :p Even with current restrictions? My timeshare costs me <$500/year in MF (was gifted to us) currently at an MVC resort in Orlando for two weeks (one week on an accommodation certificate or free extra...

Universal Orlando outlines plans to reopen its theme parks from June 1

Not to beat a dead horse here but 1- the ride is moving fast. It’s not like a virus particle is gonna stay stationary lying in wait to jump 2- the contact time in open air is very brief. For infection to take place it takes prolonged close contact in more enclosed spaces. Makes zero sense to...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Estimated 10,000 people at the lake that weekend. An awful lot of people to call stupid so can we just stop it now? The owners of that particular bar gave the option of his staff to work or not. They had a choice - many were probably VERY relieved to be making money, considering tourist season...

you can space out booths/fewer booths and keep distancing in place. Plus being outside the transmission risk is low. The hot spot cases have nearly all been in close proximity for a longer duration of time in enclosed spaces . With the space Epcot has seems to be “safest” in terms of being able...

catching the large droplets, now saturated what happens with next pee/sneeze? And are you going to sit where he did now? Those pesky trails... If one doesn’t have a car, is set up to use mass transport to get to a job or supplies what are they supposed to do? Can we stop this and encourage...

    Coronavirus and Disneyland Paris

Yes I could and will if no response by end of month. That gives them a couple weeks past reservation date. However the voucher was supposed to be for the same package I booked at no extra expense - and I haven’t really looked to see if it’s more or less for the time frame next year. If it’s not...
