New enhancements coming to WDW's Haunted Mansion for the 50th anniversary?

yes...the thread I created for a discussion regarding possible enhancements to the Florida Mansion has become a place for arguing apparently. Let's move away from that and get back to the whole point of this thread which is new supernatural magic!

New enhancements coming to WDW's Haunted Mansion for the 50th anniversary?

but there are some old effects that in my opinion did not need to be changed. As great as the 2007 Re-Haunting was, not everything about it was perfect. There were a few changes that just didn't need to happen. The biggest offenders are what happened to the Portrait Corridor and the Corridor of...

New enhancements coming to WDW's Haunted Mansion for the 50th anniversary?

Constance Hatchaway, aka the Black Widow Bride, is the newest bride who was added to DLR's Mansion in 2006 and WDW's in 2007. The original animatronic beating-heart bride and the pop-up ghosts were removed. The new bride is a manaquien in a wedding dress with a projection. The pop-up ghosts were...

New enhancements coming to WDW's Haunted Mansion for the 50th anniversary?

“Children are people, and they should have to reach to learn about things, to understand things, just as adults have to reach if they want to grow in mental stature. Life is composed of lights and shadows, and we would be untruthful, insincere, and saccharine if we tried to pretend there were no...

New enhancements coming to WDW's Haunted Mansion for the 50th anniversary?

It's not his actual moaning. It's unknown what he sounded like. The moaning you hear in that unofficial soundtrack is a stock sound effect from the Internet. My friend created that soundtrack. Most of it uses Mansion sounds and music but there are few sound effects he used that aren't from the...

New enhancements coming to WDW's Haunted Mansion for the 50th anniversary?

Well it's good to know that someone out there has the red light covers. As for the Sinister 11, yes they were afraid of causing bottlenecks in line so they removed the moving eyes and replaced them with standard flat eyes. I think their excuse to not keep the effect is stupid because Operations...

New enhancements coming to WDW's Haunted Mansion for the 50th anniversary?

I'm sure we'd still have the spiders if they had kept the man in the web. The original purpose of WDW's Grand Staircase was to be intimidating. You see the poor guy stuck in the web to your left, and to your right is a giant scary spider. Then you turn the corner and encounter ANOTHER spider by...

New enhancements coming to WDW's Haunted Mansion for the 50th anniversary?

I agree. It ruins the creepy atmosphere of entering the mansion. It's loud, cartoony, and immediately spoils that these ghosts are good-natured, which you are not supposed to know until you enter the ballroom. The queue makes the Ghost Host's hanging corpse less intimidating because it told you...

New enhancements coming to WDW's Haunted Mansion for the 50th anniversary?

My WDW Haunted Mansion wish list: - make the interactive queue more creepy and less silly. The entire first half of the attraction is supposed to be foreboding. You're not supposed to know that these are good-natured ghosts until you get to the ballroom. - adjust the timing of Master Gracey's...

They patched up the tears above the elderly woman portrait, but you can tell that it's a temporary fix. Both stretching rooms are in need of new wallpaper...

they should restore the attic to its original state with the bride in the middle and the hatbox ghost at the exit.

New enhancements coming to WDW's Haunted Mansion for the 50th anniversary?

Exactly, but I doubt Constance will get the boot anytime soon. Many diehard mansion fans including myself can't stand her, but she is beloved by a lot of other people. She's become an iconic character of the attraction at this point. I see her on soooooo much merchandise.

New enhancements coming to WDW's Haunted Mansion for the 50th anniversary?

Yes. Being an annual passholder who visits the Mansion all the time, I guarantee you that the attraction is not in good shape right now. It's in need of a good and lengthy refurbishment.

New enhancements coming to WDW's Haunted Mansion for the 50th anniversary?

According to several sources I know, the Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom is likely to get some enhancements for WDW's 50th anniversary celebration. It won't be as significant as the 2007 Re-Haunting, but some new magic could materialize. No details have been provided to me, but they've all...

    Rumor Bye Bye (Tiki) Birdies?

I think that depends on who you're asking. The large demographic of average guests will define Maui as the Dwayne Johnson version. The locals, annual passholders, and diehard Disney Parks fans will define Maui as the carved version.
