The years of them allocating some of the DVC rooms to the public no matter what DVC availability says would suggest that they were designed to be "sold" to a degree.

My business hat says I get it - why sell at a discount *now* when you can keep some inventory at rack rate for a another 1-3 months and hopefully you sell some space. For me personally though, it's frustrating because if they do plan to open up some studios at BCV or BWV if they don't sell "X"...

I wonder if anyone knows, does Disney add inventory organically to these discounts/deals as time passes and they are still under-booked, or does adding inventory only happen if people cancel their trips as their payment due date approaches and they just recycle that room back?

I agree. I know a ton of hardcore Disney peeps hate it (they really just hate Genie+) and want the old FP system back. But if this new system is the way of the future, then you need to give on-site advantages. Now just waiting to see if BCV is discounted at 30% tomorrow 👀👀

Free hopper requires a package, not ticket only. I would cancel both resy's and then book Pop + 7 day ticket as a package, then book RS as resort only.

While I hate Disney turned Fast Pass into a money grab, I do like that I can now plan ahead at MK and HS with this. I think its a step in the right direction ESPECIALLY if the price doesnt change.

LOL. It's the main reason we immediately fell in love with French Quarter - 5 minute walk to the farthest corner of the resort. We are going to CS Tower next trip and I imagine besides elevator drama my feet will be equally as thankful.

Looking at past discounts, I dont think it would math out to be equal anyways. My feet couldn't do a Pop standard room though after a long park day - I did that once and I cried the first day walking back to the 90s section from the bus station lol.

I look forward to another resort dance. We started at FQ, changed to AKL as part of free dining promo, then decided to switch to Coronado because we both disliked AKL theme. Wonder what resorts are getting 30%. I'd love to do Beach Club or Poly (but I doubt Poly gets 30% based on past promos).

That's from the Disney perspective. From a consumer perspective, I have a few reasons why I would pay ~$100 more a night to stay at FQ over Pop Century. Likewise as a consumer, I have a few reasons why I would pay ~$200 more a night (over moderate) to stay at a Deluxe, if they brought back daily...

Haha I see where you're going with it, but I have reasons to pay for staying at FQ over Pop, which you could make the same argument/logic.

I'd seriously consider Deluxe if they brought back nightly EEH.
