The Parking Structure is a friggin disaster

There couldn't possibly be crowds at Disneyland. Haven't you all heard? Disneyland is a ghost town. No ones goes there after Star Wars land opened.

Disneyland's Marketing Strategy for 2020??? Because 2019 Was A Mess!

It's been stated in this very thread that GE be torn down. Someone compared GE to a car that failed 3 years after launch, inferring that if Disney doesn't fix this fast, they will suffer the same fate. There is another entire thread dedicated to it being fate that the train got stuck outside...

Disneyland's Marketing Strategy for 2020??? Because 2019 Was A Mess!

I would hardly call it a major issue. Costs are going to be increased as they are building 2 separate billion dollar lands at the same time. This also doesn't include the other major construction projects going on in the domestic parks, especially WDW. They are spending money at a high clip...

Disneyland's Marketing Strategy for 2020??? Because 2019 Was A Mess!

So which is it? A complete disaster or wait and see. The latter is correct. That's my whole point. Read this and other threads and some are trying to paint things is Disney is going out of business if they don't take drastic action now. Post after post of wait times to "prove" Disneyland...

Disneyland's Marketing Strategy for 2020??? Because 2019 Was A Mess!

Large companies like governments usually move at a glacial pace. Bottom line though is that if you want Disney to change its way of doing things, hope the stock price goes down. That is what will get their attention.

Disneyland's Marketing Strategy for 2020??? Because 2019 Was A Mess!

Q3 results: Overall company revenue. Up year over year. Figures are in millions. More importantly to our discussion. Broken down by segment. Operating income year over year up. The sky is falling indeed.

Disneyland's Marketing Strategy for 2020??? Because 2019 Was A Mess!

I'm pulling numbers out of thin air here for effect, but no one is disputing they are not hitting plan. They also don't have the for sale sign everything must go. Far from it. For Q4 if they projected 15% year over year increase and they are only at 5% over then yes they will not be happy but...

Disneyland's Marketing Strategy for 2020??? Because 2019 Was A Mess!

A couple points. 1. Yes, Disney's marketing for 2019 was historically bad and one they should study for years to come as what not to do. When talking about GE marketing at a shareholder meeting Bob Iger said all the advertising that was needed was to say it's now open. The hubris combined with...

What's with the wait times!? (hint.. they're low)

Yeah I remember them saying that too. Predicting it now. When this quarter financials are announced theme park revenue will be up. But that SR ride is only 35 minutes for parts of the day so some think the sky is falling.

News Star Wars Galaxy's Edge opening day reports - Disney's Hollywood Studios

Savi's workshop is generating roughly $120,000 A DAY in revenue according to Touring Plans. What I am saying is that some people are calling all of Galaxy'd Edge a bust because one ride doesn't have 3 hour waits all hours of the day. This is not to mention you are judging rides by different...

News Star Wars Galaxy's Edge opening day reports - Disney's Hollywood Studios

It would be extremely dumb to let a revenue generator sit there for months even though it is ready, just so they can open it when everything can open at once. Roughly 7 months at DL and 4 months at DHS's revenue is zero if they waited. Instead they have months upon months of $200 lightsabers...

News Star Wars Galaxy's Edge opening day reports - Disney's Hollywood Studios

Exactly. On top of which success or failure can't be determined by the wait time of one ride over a short period of time, which is how some are trying to paint it. That gets in the way of some people's agenda's though.

Sounds like a Troy Porter attempt at humor. And I do mean attempt.

What's this target run ride you speak of? Never heard of it.

What's with the wait times!? (hint.. they're low)

Mickey and Friends and Pixar Pals were both full and closed for a time last night. Main St. was wall to wall people all night. I'm going to say it again. Ride wait times are not the sole indication of crowds.

I don't know if we will ever see that again anywhere. The closest might be when Nintendo opens in Japan.

Actually you should wait until Disney reports earnings that would include the time frame in which Disney opened these lands. Of course that doesn't fit your narrative though.

D23 Parks and Resort Panel 2019

You have GE including SR in 2019, ROTR and a Spiderman ride in 2020, Runaway Railway in 2022 and an announced Avengers E ticket in the pipeline. In WDW you have 5 E tickets currently under construction. Yet the overwhelming feedback is this is boring, nothing is happening.

    Tomorrowland Overhaul Speculation

I think India is a bit closer, but if Disney is barely looking at the feasibility and potential sites, we are at least a decade from opening. I agree wholeheartedly with everything else. “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on...
