From bridge to Pandora, 8/26

We took a cab to avoid any bus drama. Got to tapstiles at 8 (9am open). We moved to the holding area at Pandora bridge with about 300 people in front of us about 8:30. CMs led us to ride queue at about 8:50. Walked on FOP and were off by 9:10. Worked great!

We rode FOP twice yesterday. Once at rope drop, later with FP+. The preshow video was definitely different the second time. Completely eliminated the "you've all got one" part where they scan you for parasites. Made for a quicker transition into the flight room. Was this done on purpose to speed...

Has anyone had success with a room upgrade at AOA? We booked a mermaid room, and I know our 4 will be a little cramped. What's the possibility of upgrading to a suite? Are there ever any deals they can offer? Perhaps some special 'magic' when we check in? Any tips or suggestions? Trip is next...

I was unable to secure a ROL dining package reservation. We have ADR for Tusker House dinner that day, but Disney wouldn't convert that into a dining pkg res when I called. Surely, they can't all be sold out, can they? Is the special seating still necessary? Will I be able to find a decent seat...

I was not able to secure a ROL dining package for this Monday 8/21. We do have ADR for tusker house. Disney could not convert this to a dining pkg for me. Any suggestions? Worried I won't be able to secure seating in the show. It's our only DAK day!

I rode both sides back to back once. Once. I don't remember what order, but I have never felt that way afterwards, ever. My brain was numb for a while there. Weird.

So excited about this news. I accepted it was delayed and I wouldn't ride it. Now it seems it will be open by the third week in August. Great news!

Any word on viewing parties for this? Any suggestions for a good spot? Rooftop?
