    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

Just putting this on everyone's radar so we are aware: Yes, there is another system that is potentially forming in the eastern Atlantic. However, several models (e.g. Tropical Tidbits and Windy.com) show it getting pushed back toward the northeast by 10/22 or so. Another sensational Disney...

I think you're referring to the planned Cars ride in MK not the Cars show in HS which just closed.

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

I'm waiting on an improvement photo to the Pet Cemetery next to HM. Usually hurricanes make it look better, considering where it's located.

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

I was at AKL during Ian. Solid building. Interesting time. I "enjoyed" my staying put there if that is even possible. I don't recommend making a beeline to WDW just to ride out a storm though. I decided to keep my already made reservation rather than evacuate.

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

I visited after Irma several years back. The pet cemetery got jossled up a lot. I thought it looked better. LOL.

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

Things seem to have gone quiet. If many of the posters were anywhere in the impact area they could very well be without power. As for me, I would think the day and night is a little windy if I didn't know a hurricane was southeast of me. And to think I only evaced to Jax last week due to Helene.

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

Watching the Weather Channel. Because of the more southern landfall at Sarasota that means the northern side (ie I-4 corridor including WDW) is getting slammed.

That's good. The sooner it comes and goes the better. We don't want these things hanging around.

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

Sure. It's going to be an inconvenience. And if they can't leave by now their best option is staying put in their resort (or the one they were moved to from the campground).

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

It's currently showing about 1,000 millibars which is better than what you're showing. I looked it up and 1,000mb is approx 50mph. Regardless, FL doesn't need any more tropical systems after Helene and Milton.

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

I was listening to local talk radio today. They said that Katrina was a Cat 5 before it hit as a Cat 3. It's still remembered as one of the worst hurricanes to hit the U.S., mostly because of the storm surge.
