To the first part, I understand exactly how it works. To the 2nd, who cares if it's "free" if it doesn't work? You can put whatever spin you want to on this, but there's nothing you can say to make me believe there's any advantage to a system where I can avoid standing in line for 1 attraction...

Well let's hope they're doing something positive for the people who've suffered. I read stories that some are being offered free express passes added to their existing tickets for the other parks (if they have them). This doesn't cost Universal anything but makes their guests feel they're...

Granted, it's such a small percentage of people that read those reviews, but you gotta imagine, the powers that be at Universal have got to be fuming at the team that came up with TapuTapu. If 1 person gives it a poor review and tells just 1 other person, it spreads. With all the people that...

Haven't been yet, so none. I don't recall ever reading so many negative complaints about MBs when they came out. Maybe I didn't pay close enough attention since it worked for me without a hitch. Or maybe the issue wasn't as big of a deal because the issues were all fixable. In theory, if as...

Guess I've been lucky. Been 6 times since MB and FP+ came out. Never had a single problem with either.

TapuTapu is not the 1st virtual line system at theme parks. Six Flags has been using it for years. Again, difference is, you're not restricted to just the 1 attraction. The bottom line is some attractions are going to be more popular than others. Obviously. The flaw in TapuTapu is that there...

You're putting words in my mouth. Disney's system CAN work because it allows you to have more than 1 Fastpass and also lets you ride other attractions in the interim. Universal and Islands works the same way. TapuTapu does not allow for this. I don't understand why this seems to be so difficult...

With all due respect, that's more of poor planning on your part than a failure in the system on Disney's. Fastpass it. We've got all our Fastpasses booked for July, Space Mountain obviously being one of them. There's a way to properly use Fastpass+ where you can avoid the lines for the most...

This isn't just a small percentage of people unhappy. Of course some will always complain, but this is a legitimate cluster you know what. I love Universal. I'm an AP holder, but I'm not giving them a free pass. Of course, my opinion doesn't mean anything in the scheme of things, but as far as...

Disney hasn't had any major issues with FP+, other than people not liking have to book ride reservations in advance. Other than that, there may have been individual occasional issues. Nothing that literally ended someone's day at a park. Personally, I've had nothing but excellent experiences...

Normal kinks are understandabe and excusable. The main issue at VB is not. TapuTapu was never going to work. Not without being able to book multiple slides or having standby lines. Universal should really be embarrassed by this mess. They have enough experience to properly plan an operating...

Not sure what I'm expecting but Universals response to each of the many negative posts on Trip Advisor is really annoying. All canned "Sorry, we'll pass your comments on to management. We hope you'll visit us again.: Come on guys, you're better than that. Show some sympathy and regret and make...

    REALLY USO? REALLY?!?!?

Universal should really push to work on the Nickelodeon relationship. If there's 1 cartoon character that could be resort mascot and compete with Mickey, it's Spongebob.

Mostly it's TapuTapu and not being able to do standby in any lines. Common sense math issue that somehow Universal thought they could solve.

I don't get it. How do you go on all the slides in the morning if there are no standby lines?

I'd rather have the option and be able to ride more than 3 or slides per day. Big deal, you can wait in a pool. Let the people in the park line up for any of the 18 attractions and enjoy them all. It's worked at water parks for decades.

    Poly or Contemporary

Just want to add, I've paid for theme park view at both the Poly and GF and wouldn't do it again. Waste of money.

The initial reviews were from the press, and in regards to the rides themselves, from those that got to ride. I was only looking on YouTube. Since then, it's become a nightmare for Universal. They really screwed themselves. There is no fix to TapuTapu without standby lines. Let's round up and...
