Star Wars Launch Bay coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios later this year

Oh yeah, that'd be great for the kids. I can see it now. "Derogatory Warning: Keep your sticky hands off me tiny meatbag, or I will fulfill my programming and kill you." 🤣

    Epcot Hotels

I've stayed at Boardwalk, Dolphin, and Yacht Club. I've also stayed at CB, but don't really consider that an Epcot resort. Yacht Club was recently refurbed when we went and we loved the room. Amazing pool. My only complaint was that the walk to and from HS is longer than Boardwalk. Dolphin...

Per Jim Hill, the Star Wars restaurant is coming.

We should rejoice any time Disney ADDS to a project, even if it was something that was part of the original concept that didn't make the cut.

Overnight parking charges to increase at Walt Disney World Resort hotels June 2019

If money were charged for DS garages, RCID would get the money, not Disney. The only way Disney could collect any potential parking fees at DS would be if RCID sold the garages to Disney, and I do believe they would be required to sell it at a fair market value as they are a government entity...

Overnight parking charges to increase at Walt Disney World Resort hotels June 2019

Not quite what I was getting at, but I did charge $0.10 to use the bathroom in Roller Coaster Tycoon 2. ;)

Overnight parking charges to increase at Walt Disney World Resort hotels June 2019

This is what really grinds my gears. I understand if you're building a hotel in DC or NY, charging a parking fee. Many hotels in urban areas don't have the space to provide all the parking that is necessary. You're trying to disincentivize people from parking. At Disney this makes absolutely...

Overnight parking charges to increase at Walt Disney World Resort hotels June 2019

While I do not have to pay the fee, I do feel for those that do. There's no reason for the fees at a resort that has "an abundance of space.". It's just another way to increase their profits, because replacing their parking lots doesn't get that much more expensive. With parking fees and...

News Epcot's Rosewalk walkway closed for widening construction

Awesome. Nice to see them moving to improve various pathways throughout the World.

    DINOSAUR - Strange Testing

All is revealed. Disney is just Aperture Science in disguise. The cake is delicious though.

    Paradiso 37?

Good choice! Great food and better bourbon!

    Paradiso 37?

Amongst the plethora of options at Disney Springs, this would be near my last choice. Our meal wasn't terrible, nor was the service. But if the review is "not terrible" do I really need to say more?

Why are some people snobby and poke fun at people who vacation at Disney?

They don't get it. They don't understand the thoughts, feelings, emotions, and memories that Disney brings us. Everyone has their likes and dislikes and certainly that's part of it, but another part is the preconceived notions and mental images of a Disney vacation just don't seem appealing to...

    Sept Cheapest time of year

It's nowhere near as empty as it used to be, but it is still better than times like now (Easter week). My advice is to avoid Epcot on the weekends, as that's when F&W crowds are the highest, and hit MK in the morning. I'm still trying to figure out what we're doing for HS. Truly hoping that...

Second Week of January Weather Experience

I've been a few times in January and the temps really can swing around. I've been in shorts and t-shirts during the day (with maybe a hoodie after sunset) to jeans and long sleeves with jackets or vests. Best bet is to check the weather beforehand and pack conservatively.

    Beach Club 1st timer. In’s and out’s?

Head to Jelly Rolls at the Boardwalk one night. It's a dueling piano bar, and there's a cover, but it's a great place for adult to have a good time late at night. Also, there's plenty of good dining options within a short walk. Flying fish at BW. Shulas, Blue zoo, kimonos, and IL Mulino at the...

    Roll It ...Again............

Ditto. 7 was an okay start, but 8 for all it's parallels, just broke so far from the saga that it doesn't even feel like a Star Wars movie to me. It didn't just break everything that was setup in 7, it broke the history of 1-6 as well. I was done with it once I saw turbolasers that arched in...

News Epcot Forever to debut as interim show before full Reflections of Earth replacement

Happy to hear of the October 1 start. That's right after my trip, so I get to say goodbye to my favorite ROE. I think I have to twist my wife's arm to find a conference for her to attend next spring so we can see Epcot Forever before it goes. The preview video looked, and sounded, pretty sweet.

Arriving Orlando airport at 11 am - at what time can I realistically make it to Epcot?

Concur with the above. 2:30 - 3 is reasonable. We usually arrive to MCO @ 8ish, take DME to BWV and are eating in Sunshine Seasons around 11...after my lovely and wonderful wife takes what seems to be an excruciatingly long time to change clothes. ;) I've never notice any advantage from...
