Why does anyone like to go to Magic Mountain?

SeaWorld is always running sales, rarely do most people pay full admission price. Very common to see 1-day tickets priced at ~$50-60 throughout the year with all of their sales. (They run sales just about every week.)

    Cast Member Standards

As they continue to drop employee benefits, employees will look for other companies with better benefits. In the past Disney didn't pay the best, but they certainly had great benefits to offset. Now that Disney removed the Aspire program (and other programs(, you could see future candidates drop...

Why does anyone like to go to Magic Mountain?

Can't speak for San Diego, but I cancelled my pass for Busch Gardens Tampa & SeaWorld Orlando after how terrible their park operations are. It's shocking to say it, but SeaWorld had arguably the best quick service locations about 5-10 years ago. SeaWorld at one point cared about the guest...

Why does anyone like to go to Magic Mountain?

I don't go into regional parks with the same mindset as a Dis/Uni park. With that said, it doesn't justify some of the poor maintenance/upkeep of their parks... especially SeaWorld. Just because you primarily become a "coaster thrill park", doesn't justify decreasing the guest experience.

News Disney plans to accelerate Parks investment to $60 billion over 10 years

As big as a theme park fan I am, I can't convince a family member to prioritize a WDW/UOR visit over a cruise. The value just isn't there anymore.

News Disney plans to accelerate Parks investment to $60 billion over 10 years

Won't be too noticeable, but certainly affect some demand. A 4-day theme park ticket for a family of four can be the same price as a week long cruise that includes dining.

    Price hike coming 10/9

If there's a serious issue with dining reservations down, a return of the Epcot after 4PM makes sense no?

News Disney World Earmarks 80 Acres for Affordable Housing

Kind of insane the counties have neglected to do anything significant to improve traffic flow through Western Way/US-192.

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

Nobody is suggesting a 4-5 day closure, but providing enough advance notice to park guests that a park may close earlier than expected in order to allow CMs enough time to prepare their own homes is necessary. We knews for a few days now that the Central Florida area will be impacted somehow...

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

Think about the cast who (depending on where they live in Orlando) can be up to an hour away from their home thanks to how large the Orlando metro area is. Let alone all the rain that starts before the winds pick up, your risking CMs having to traverse flooded roads (let alone gas shortages). I...

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

The issue is that a lot of non-Floridians don't entirely understand how large a hurricane actually is. Everyone loves to focus on the eye, but its effects are large spread, with most of the rain occurring prior to the eye even reaching land. A tourist who arrives in Orlando this week completely...

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

I completely understand the reasoning behind closing, but why not just be upfront and say "Based on current forecast track, we are expecting to close our parks on blank dates." Worst case scenario, if you are afraid of losing business, you cut staffing that day to reduce operating costs...

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

I have to say, the lack of notice yesterday from UOR/WDW is quite unsettling. I understand the need to keep open, but we all know the parks are going to be hit in some capacity for some time now. They need to give their employees time to head out from work and do final prep.

    HHN 2024

I don't necessarily think that the parks/events are avoiding scares (Insidious this year proves that), but more that the events are trying to offer more experiences for all (or as much as humanely possible) each year. Horror Nights has actually had a few way too intense houses these past few...

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

Because Disney is a leader, not a follower. They are a respected company expected to do what is right. We all know the rest of the local area/industry will follow after.

    HHN 2024

Universal has always encouraged guests to visit multiple nights for HHN, that's not the issue. However, I do agree that the content of the event has shifted in a way that has allowed non-horror fans to visit the event more often than they typically would have. The event has also fallen into...

    HHN 2024

I agree - my experience this year at the event is towards the bottom, possibly least favorite. (attended every year since 2013). Outside the houses, the event feels "off" in tone & design, and the crowd issues don't help. I would have originally blamed the use of "friendlier" IPs like Stranger...

    DisneylandForward

I wouldn't read into this. It's a very vague map showing what's possible, but not expected. My guess is that Disney included this give them options to do anything here without having to ask for additional permission.

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Not to defend Disney's actions, but what exactly should be the aesthetic design for Epcot's hub? How exactly should interiors of Connections/Creations look like? Can you provide a few examples? The original aesthetics for Communicore in the 80s felt just like any other mall from that era.
