What sets Disney cruises above other cruise lines?

Exactly! Rust will happen on these vessels, it is inevitable. Working in the Maritime Industry I spend time on our cruises looking at the upkeep, especially at waterlines, to see where each is standing. That is a large influence on who we cruise with. It is nothing to look at the dark color of...

    Disney Dream Questions...

Check in as early as possible. You could get boarding group two or twelve. Check in time does not directly correlate with boarding time.

Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory refurbishment starting July 11 to sometime in the fall

Yeesh. I paid $6.79 for the Mickey Waffle and bacon at Capt. Cooks in May.

    Advice with first Cruise.

Seven goes quick. Four goes fast. Three goes insanely rapid. There are different vibes on all the different lengths, as well.

    Advice with first Cruise.

All of the Disney ships are phenomenal. Many crew members can be rotated through the various vessels when their contracts are renewed. That aspect will nearly guarantee the same level of service across the fleet. Over five DCL trips the last two and a half years we have yet to experience any...

    this rumor has gained legs......Pepsi

With the large contract that Coke signed for their Springs representation, I would be shocked if the official soda of WDW turned to Pepsi.

WDW to Raise All Buffet Prices By Almost 50%?

It is worth nothing, in regards to @kpilcher 's post about the carpet that they do change it on a regular basis. Some prints may only be in a few places or one which requires new print and delivery. All five DCL trips we have been on, including the two last month, there were various forms of...

    Thoughts on turf club?

@wdwmagic may have a photo of it somewhere. I found his posts from when it was announced that lunch service was being discontinued but that did not have the menu in it.

    Thoughts on turf club?

It does not serve lunch any longer. If you Google "Saratoga Springs Turf Club Lunch" you can find reviews of it from everyone under the sun down to Sally Sue in Boise, Idaho. Lack of traffic during lunch got it canned.

    A Spirited Dirty Dozen ...

I can say that I almost skipped TS while at Poly last month due to some of the negative reviews on here. The line was long to get in on Friday and Saturday nights but every other night had actual wait. When I got the first drink it was surprisingly potent for what I have read. Some friends said...

And the hits keep coming for Carnival

And my five so far with two more booked are without children. WifeUnit cruised exclusively CarniVomit with her family until we started dating, now she is DCL exclusive along with the rest of her family who have converted.

    Thoughts on turf club?

I had lunch there in '12 and it was so-so. It hits the atmosphere on the head for your typical high end country club but the food and prices did not line up. That was in 2012. With a four year difference in there, I would give it another go.

Celebrity Infinity Causes $2,000,000+ Dock Damages in Alaska

It can vary from port to port. That is why I tagged the poster that I did in the first place. IIRC his knowledge on this matter would exceed mine. I won't see any of the pilots I know until Monday. Do you mean Celebrity? :P

Celebrity Infinity Causes $2,000,000+ Dock Damages in Alaska

@Tonka's Skipper input could be good here. Whether a Pilot was at the helm or not, the Captain should have the authority to abort.
